It's an idle Sunday morning so I decided to grab a Mexican breakfast. I love little joints like this so I gave it a try and I am very happy I did!
It's a little place that has a ton of plants and what not in the dining area but let's be honest, these little joints aren't for atmosphere.
The woman taking my order was very pleasant and friendly.
I ordered red chiliquilles and 2 al pastor tacos. The price was very fair and the portions were very good. But, damn, the food was absolutely delicious! The chiliquilles were crispy and the red sauce was rich, spicy, and packed with flavor. The egg on top was over medium with a fantastic crust. I was floored with how tasty it was for the price. The tacos were a bit bigger than most places. The corn tortillas were just a touch crispy but not hard. Perfect. The meat was loaded with flavor and also cooked to perfection.
I'm actually mad that I've not tried this place before because I can foresee this becoming my go-to. I think the only possible complaint I really have is that I could have used a knife because the plastic fork couldn't cut the chips in the chiliquilles.
Would absolutely recommend to someone looking for some quick...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 5 years, and I’m honestly shocked by the experience I had during my recent visit. When we sat down, we were served chips and salsa, and I placed an order for guacamole to go with it. Unfortunately, the guacamole didn’t arrive until after our meals were already served. At that point, I politely let the server know we no longer needed it and asked to cancel the order.
To my surprise, we were then told that we couldn’t cancel it—and even more upsetting, the staff informed us that we are no longer welcome to return. According to them, the cook didn’t want us to come back. I’ve supported this place for years and have never had any issues before, so to be treated this way over something so small is incredibly disappointing.
This was truly an unbelievable experience, and sadly, I won’t...
Read moreI'd take the other reviews with a grain of salt, first time I went there was today and I have to say it was a 10/10 experience.
I ordered an al pastor taco dinner with cilantro and onion and I've tried a few of the mexican joints around here and this was by far the best one yet. Each taco was individually wrapped, the meat was moist and fresh, the corn shells were crunchy and the toppings were just perfect, they complimented the meat and not overwhelmed it. The meat which was also seasoned good was a surprise too. I see what some people say with the interior foliage but I say it gives the place character. I'd recommend to try it out for yourself. I didn't wait long, the food was fresh, and it was...
