Tobacco City — Local services in Worth Township

I have frequent this establishment multiple times, spending hundreds of dollars on multiple different occasions on cigars. This particular day I assumed would be no different. As I walked in the store I was greeted kindly as typically done here. I responded in kind and proceeded to select cigars located in back. Upon exiting the humidor i located the smaller humidor and began examining them seeing as at this point I have purchased enough to make use of one. I was asked if assistance was needed at which i declined and continued perusing the selection of humidor their capacity and capabilities. It was at this point that i noticed the women working the establishment had been lingering the area attempting to be inconspicuous as she watched me. As I ponder the options again she interjected asking if i needed assistance. At this point i became frustrated as this being a subtle tactic which many utilize as an attempt to deter theft from retail establishments. This in culmination with the fact I am a black male shopping as well as 2 others who are white are not receiving such interest in assisting. This implicit bias is tiresome and demeaning to my efforts of patronizing this establishment. Do better. Will no longer subject myself to an iota of offense by places that exist from uses of people’s disposable income. Especially mine.

I was at this shop about four years ago and it was a very pleasant experience. Went today Aug 29th and very disappointed with what the clerk did. I brought my items to the furthest south cash register where he was standing . He took my card and went to the register closest to the door and proceeded to come back towards me once the transaction was finished. Ok alls good but then when I asked about my card this man pointed to the counter that was closest to where he had done the transaction of my card. Found out about this place just looking for local cigar shops around the neighborhoods. Decided to stop in. I was very surprised about their cigar selection inside the huge walk in humidor!! They even have some great items for pipe smokers too!! Their home made blended flavor pipe tobaccos are amazing and priced better than anywhere in the area. You won't find a better selection of what your looking for. They are extremely knowledgeable on everything from choosing cigars, to vape item and even advice on cigar care and properly setting up your humidor. Such friendly people, and even a small smoking lounge to enjoy a fine cigar!! Wish I could spend more time here!!!...
