Okay, I had no idea Popshelf was owned by Dollar General until I looked it upâ& Iâm honestly shocked. This store feels nothing like what youâd expect from them. Itâs bright, clean, super aesthetic, & totally gives boutique vibes without high prices. It reminds me of a mini Target or HomeGoods, but more curated & more affordable.
As a mom, I love finding little luxuries hereâlike Mrs. Meyerâs bar soap in scents I canât find at other stores, & their seasonal gift & home sections are really cute. You also check out on your own, & bag your items in a recyclable paper tote that feels more like a gift bag than a plastic one. Itâs a thoughtful touch.
My downsides: The candy selection (lots of dyesânot ideal for kids), & a couple of younger staff members who seemed very ready to close exactly on time. I totally understand being tired at the end of a shift, but I did feel a little rushed out near closing time. So just a heads-up: if youâre sensitive like me, maybe donât go in during the last 15 minutes đ
All in all, love this place. Itâs great for small, affordable finds & feels way more upscale than youâd expect. Definitely worth stopping by if youâre...

Bath and Body Works wishes they had the throw and scent staying power of Pop Shelf's abomination. I lost all sense of time and space while the smell gripped my throat as I dizzily stumbled down the aisles. The employees deserve serious hazard pay and respirators to effectively do their jobs. I imagine they haven't smelt anything after their first initial shift at Pop Shelf.
The government needs to open an investigation of the Pop Shelf in Wylie for the opening of the ozone layer and their crimes against humanity for hazardous waste.
Two stars for the gummy globe availability which had to be put back before I vomited from smell...

We lost a lot of money having to throw away food and other items from our pantry because of the many eggs these moths lay. My family and I immediately noticed the moths when we walked into the store. It was so hard to shop as we knew the headache these things are and hated to even accidentally bring them home. The moths were all over the store, but primarily in the candy and food area. Please be cautious as these things lay eggs in clothes and plastic. We told the manager and she kind of shrugged it off and said they have pest control but the bugs...
