I was excited to support this black-owned business featured on the Funky Dineva show, but unfortunately, I did not receive my order despite making full payment. I never received a confirmatory email or an expected delivery date.
Small businesses can face challenges, but I would appreciate better communication and shopping reliability. If this company is overwhelmed by the high number of orders, RETURN our money. It's just that simple.
This company has ignored emails and private messages on IG where I shared copies of my receipt. Your website thanks customers for the love and trust shown to your business. We would love the same trust in return by providing communicative service. I understand hiring a shipping company to help with the high demand, but not responding to your customers' concerns is unacceptable. Brotherly love - NOT!
I placed my order on July 2nd. As you can see, I gave plenty of grace before sharing publicly. Do BETTER! I hope this company can improve on these aspects so that customers can enjoy the experience you sold us on the Funky Dineva show.
I often purchase from the Funky Dineva show to support black-owned businesses and this is the first experience of not receiving my products or communication. Funky Dineva - please protect the Funky Bunch by screening thoroughly.
The website has the audacity to ask us not to email, call, or text because our orders are on the way. What else would a customer do if they feel like they have been robbed!?!?
RESPONSE TO OWNER - Great....it looks like you found my order along with my address! Now....can you find my tracking #, processing claims, photographic evidence, location-based tracking? There are several forms of proof of delivery (POD) to show that a package reached its destination.
Since I make a living with Google, I would never falsify a claim nor a review, and certainly not for $62 worth of lip gloss.
Lastly, I am from North 28th & Cecil B. Moore so I certainly understand your bullying tacky tactic of posting my personal info, but I'm public anyways.
I pray you turn your business practices around. You have a great concept. Now just work on commitment, loyalty, and...

Read moreJanie was kind and informative, but she was incredibly distracted during our session. After each lesson, she went back to her phone and started texting and checking messages. She told me about celebrities that she serviced and wondered if someone from Chicago, whose message she received, was a celebrity. That was a complete turn-off, as everyone who is coming for service, whether a class or an actual make-up session, should be cared for with undivided attention. I took the class to see if Janie could be my long-term make-up artist, but the constant distraction was enough for me to look elsewhere.
Edit: Amending this to add that the owner reached out to me after receiving this review and apologized for the experience. I appreciated the apology and wish her well in...
