Went into this store for the first time in about a year. Over the last 5 years I’ve spent a couple thousand dollars in this store because I would rather shop and support a small local business than a giant box retail store. My most recent trip will be my last. The owner wouldn’t shut up about “scalpers” referring to them as “wankers” at one point. Which is a crazy take because I’ve bought products here that have been heavily marked up above MSRP (teapot calling the kettle black).
He eluded to me being a scalper and he didn’t ask for my phone number for their loyalty program, which would have shown that I have been a regular customer in the store in the past. After my most recent experience, I would shop ANYWHERE else, this is by far the most unprofessional card shop I’ve been to in my entire life. They don’t keep accurate inventory online and don’t answer their phone and are incredibly rude in person.
Owner also showed up an hour late to open his shop and then was rude to me for asking questions about product. Unless you’re one of his friends, don’t count on being able to buy anything new.
In their discord the owner talks about every new customer as if they’re a scalper as if they couldn’t just ask them to rip the packs inside the store (which I’ve done before as well). Pokémon is the most popular franchise in the world and the owner is gatekeeping the community as if it’s some niche activity.

Read moreI came to hope to sell a Lion's Diamond Eye card at this shop. They let me know about their card selling policies and that I would receive 50% of card value for store credit if I sold my cards at this store. While this offer is great for anyone looking to make credit for buying new MTG sets, I was interested in selling this card for cash. The players in the shop were super friendly, and one player even bought some cards from my sell pile just to complete some decks he wanted. This place is a great place for anyone looking for a community that is willing to help new players. They gave me all the information they could about selling my valuable cards, and then was enthusiastic talking about the MTG card game itself. I'm new in this area and I greatly appreciate their kindness to help a random stranger who walks in. (especially because I came off like I didn't know much about the card game. This was a tactic to make more money on my sale but back fired when I was treated so kindly by staff...
Read moreI like coming to play here, local group is very nice. The owners post about the journey together pre-release on Play! Pokemon's event finder rubbed me and wifey the wrong way to the point of not attending for a set we were very excited about. It was very emotionally charged about hating scalpers. I walked in today hearing they will have limit 4 journey together packs and they are above scalper price anyway! The price per pack on top of no box topper in sight solidified the voice in my head saying "stay away" and I didn't even mention that the store owner literally tagged his 4 friends in discord saying they are the only ones getting prismatic evolutions etbs and nobody else during that time months ago.
Edit 4/3 for the owners claims: My pokemon play ID is 5101641 and hers is 5113264, we attended multiple Saturday tournaments before your posts in discord about prismatic evolutions release, where 4 individuals were tagged, that you are...
