It is true what other say about this range. Very nice people, they let you bring your own ammo and very reasonable prices. I will no doubt go there again, but i have to just point out these several things of my last experience there. Firstly if you are going to go there, do your best to go there on a week day when they aren't busy. Saturday and even Sunday you will wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
My son and I waited 2 hours on a saturday to shoot.
When it is very busy, shooters will book a booth for 30 minutes and then come out and keep asking to have their time extended and instead of limiting the shooters to what they booked, you will wait and wait and wait until they decide they are done shooting. Bad policy. I see many people walk out when a 30 minute rental turns into an hour and a half.
Fine to do that when its not busy, but to allow it when 20 people are waiting to shoot, is not good practice.
My last visit there a shooter came in with a shot gun un-cased and put it down on the table with the barrel pointing at 4 people including my son and i. A guy asked the person to please point the barrel in another direction and the guy got upset rambling something about being state certified and that he knows how to put a gun down. Ummm, you're a certified idiot is what you are.
There was also a couple at that same time firing off another shot gun in one of the booths, and the woman shooting was clearly unexperienced putting the gun stock on top of her shoulder. I wasn't even aware you could shoot 12 gauge shotguns in an indoor pistol range. But as a result of that experience i have security and safety concerns bringing my son there now, and i probably won't go with him there. Which is a bummer because choices are so limited in my area.
So yes it is true that they are nice and reasonably priced etc. but they can be disorganized, there can be long waits and there are clearly safety concerns if a novice shooter who doesn't even know how to hold a gun can blast off 12 gauge rounds standing right next to you and people can plop their un cased shot guns down on tables pointing at people and management doesn't even acknowledge it.
If they invested in their business and added another shooting section, 3 or 4 more booths, got a little more organized with their policies on booth rental and safety they'd have one great range.
Until then, it's a good place at a good price with a few flaws that hopefully will be...

There are signs posted that day that guns must be holstered etc, yet some people walk in without heeding the signs. The last straw for me was when I got flagged by a guy who was slinging his AR in the waiting area. Not a had place, but to not enforce your own posted signs which I firmly believe relates to how I got flagged is a huge safety concern for me. Good luck.** Original review below Great attitude from the guys where the range booths are. I've driven out there on four occasions even though they are over an hour away. Worth the drive for me to have a pleasant experience. What others say is true. If you go on a weekend you will be waiting for an hour or more. One pet peeve is the signs that say that guns must be holstered or otherwise kept until being used. One time I was there people came in and out with guns out. The problem I had was that one guy while adjusting his AR ended up with his muzzle pointing right at me for a second. Very careless on both the place as well as the shooter.
The reason for the three stars is my experience in the store area. I walked in and saw what I perceived as the counter guy helping another customer. It was just us three so of course I waited my turn. As I was looking at the ARs on the wall I realized the two guys were no longer talking so I turned to look. What I thought was the other customer was looking at me as well as the counter guy. Just looking at me. I think actions like that make absolutely no sense and quite frankly puts a stain on what would otherwise be a near perfect experience as a consumer. Three very solid stars for the range. Docked two for the store...
Read moreI have been around guns my entire life, both rifles and pistols, but never felt the need to own one myself until recently. Staff at A&S have helped me through the entire process. One staff in particular, Conor, helped the most. He is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about seemingly EVERYTHING! He expertly answered my many questions and helped me to select what has turned out to be a perfect fit for me! He also made me feel comfortable asking my many, many questions! I have been to other places where you feel intimidated or not welcomed, which has put me off from purchasing in the past. Conor's patience and knowledge base allowed me to feel comfortable enough to finally let me take that next step. He was on the range side a few times I've been there to practice as well!! The indoor range here is great! It's clean (as is the entire store, including the bathrooms!), the signage is clear and the choices to rent (I did this while trying to find a good fit for me) are really good. They also have a great chart displayed on the range side that provides feedback depending on where you end up hitting your target! (I like that a lot!)
I have many friends and family in the same situation I found myself in. I have steered them towards this place to help. After being expertly assisted at A&S, I feel more confident than ever that I can responsibly own and operate my firearm. I'm sure they will too! In this unfortunate climate our beautiful country finds itself in, it feels amazing to be able to (finally) exercise my God given right detailed in the Second Amendment. I look forward to taking a class or two at A&S! I would recommend this place to anybody! Ask for Conor,...you won't be...
