It pains me to write this review. I've been going here since his grand opening in either 2018 or 2019 and I consistently got the best cut of my life. It would always take me around 2 hours or so to get in wait for bero or one other guy I like, get a cut, then head out, which I was fine with because it looked so good. Then around 2020 or 2021 they started to dip. I cant get bero or the other guy I like without waiting for literally 4 plus hours just to sit down then they take an hour plus to cut your hair because they dap up every person who walks in and they walk outside to shoot the breeze with friends who just drive by real quick to say whats up. So after it took almost an entire work day to get 1 of the 2 barbers I actually like there I said screw it lets let one of his young guys try it. Every time I let one of the young dudes cut me they mess my hard part up, never listen to how short I want it, and mess my cowlick up every time. This most recent time (yesterday) I went in and the guy cutting me which was one of the younger dudes literally gave me a hair cut I didn't ask for. I asked for 0 fade with a hard part and some left on top to comb over, he gave me a 1 or 2 "fade" more like steps not a fade its so bad. He just slicked my hair back like an 80s or 90s car salesman. My hair was still so long it was in my eyes, I asked him to go shorter, he didn't take much off, I had to tell him again to go shorter which he didn't take any off my bangs, they were still passed my eyes basically to my nose. He went to take the cape off me and I asked him what he was doing he didn't even come close to the cut I wanted. He didn't say anything just put the cape back on me and started "working" he was sighing every 30 seconds like he was pissed off and annoyed with me... I ended up having to go home and cut my own hair, I had to take nearly an extra inch off the top because they guy wouldn't. If you can actually get BERO or the other guy close to his age by the wash station you'll be looking like a million bucks, but be prepared to wait literally 5-8 hours if you want one of them and you're not friends or family. But I wouldn't let anyone else in that shop cut my hair ever again. My last time there before yesterday I actually had to call back up there to see if they could touch up the many, many, mistakes left by one of the young guys. Pretty sure that same person cut my hair yesterday (Friday March 15th) and messed me up beyond belief. I walked in bero was gone but was happy seeing the guy other than bero I like was there. I tried waiting for him but he ended up leaving after he finished a woman's hair and I was stuck with the only other person there, the one who's butchered me 2-3 times now. So needless to say unless this place changes and starts accepting appointments or treat others the same way they do family and friends meaning get them in and out with an hour or 2 I won't be returning and like I said at the start of the review it really does pain me because bero seems like a great dude and is BY FAR the best barber I've ever had cut my hair. Just wished he had better employees who had even half the...
Read moreI cannot say enough about this place! I asked my social media friends where to get a fade for my daughter because I was tired of waiting for my husband to do it and his barber shop is not reliable and I question sometimes what goes on there.
I reached out to one of my old coworkers, letting him know what I was looking for, and he said without hesitation Bero. He called, and was told that he owned his own shop now, and that we should go in immediately.
I've not gone to a barber shop for myself since I was in high school, but I know the guys have the fade DOWN, ESPECIALLY when you're going in for designs. We were kindly greeted and told to take a number.
When I sat down, I noticed that I was sitting next to yet another old coworker, a woman from another job. I asked her about Bero, and she said she'd been using him prior when he was at Mirage, and she loves going to see him for her brows and hair.
BROWS. AND. HAIR!! He threads, too! This is one stopping for me, folks. With two thumbs up, I knew that she was in good care. I was not disappointed.
Now both of them did say that the worst part about the entire experience is that he's only one person, and EVERYONE wants to see him - he's just that good. Don't be in a rush when you go in, or go in and take a number, then go do errands. I think he even gave people the option to give him their number, and he'd call when he was almost at their number.
Bero exceeded my expectations. He cleaned up her hair like it was nobody's business. He even trimmed and thinned out the top, something my daughter wouldn't let other people do any other time.
Before we were even done, I told my husband and son I found them a new barber. Just don't be in a rush when they go in, but it will definitely be worth the wait.
*Update, my husband went in and enjoyed his haircut as well. Bero didn't do the cut, but he still did a great job. "He even trimmed my eyebrows!"
That was something I never thought I'd hear...
Read moreOh my god, this was the WORST haircut I have ever received, and I'm so upset. First, when I arrived, the guy who was going to cut my hair was standing in front of the door smoking. He then walked in with us and told me to sit down. I showed him a picture of the haircut I wanted, and he started cutting. He didn’t wash his hands after smoking, which is disgusting, and he smelled terribly of cigarettes. He also didn't understand English at all, so I wasn’t sure if he even knew what I wanted, but he started cutting my hair anyway.
It took him over 30 minutes to do the fade, and then he moved on to the top of my hair. I had to ask him to repeat himself a few times before I realized he was asking if I wanted an inch off the top. I told him I wanted it at my eyebrows, even pointing to my eyebrows. Keep in mind, I have slightly curly hair, so he should have known to leave a little extra room for shrinkage. Instead, he started cutting and ended up cutting it about an inch and a half above my eyebrows, while it was WET. Once he finished, he asked if I liked it, and I just nodded because there was no way he could fix it at that point.
My mom had to pay $35 and left a $10 tip, and we got out of there. I was recommended this place by my brother, but he hadn’t been there in years, so it must’ve gone downhill. After reading other reviews, I realized that only about 2-3 of the barbers are actually reliable. I DO NOT recommend this place unless you want to spend over an hour on a haircut that won’t even...
