I get Taco Bell frequently, and haven't had any issues in a long time at various stores across town, but tonight, they put meat in my crunchwrap. No big deal so far.
I politely went back through the drive thru and asked for them to remake it. OK so far. When I got to the window, the shift manager was incredibly rude and hostile and seemed mad about something.
I tried showing my receipt (standard) and she was short with me and said she didn't want to see it, just show her the food. I pulled out the food and held it out to her and said "well, okay, I just wanted to make sure to show you the receipt" and she started to go off on me about how "no, I don't want to see your receipt, I just want to see your food!"
Which I was holding out to her. While she was ranting about wanting to see it.
Anyway, I was holding the food out to her for quite a while while she kept kept going on and on about how "no, I don't want your receipt, I want to see the food" (which i was holding out to her while she was ranting at me).
I finally stopped her and said, "I'm showing you my receipt, which is industry standard. I'm now showing you my food." She went off on me and started saying "Wow! Wow! You know what? Here, and look, it's already made for you. You have a GOOD night."
I was genuinely puzzled and taken aback, because I couldn't tell what the hell she was so mad about as I hadn't been rude or angry about any of it. She actually leaned out the window and shouted at me as I drove off "You have a BETTER night actually." What the hell. I paid 20 bucks for the same junk food I've gotten for years, but I got so much hostility I just threw my food away at home because i was too upset to eat. It is no wonder that TB and other franchises are going contact free with this kind of terrible customer service, and I for one welcome the shift. I won't be going back to this branch, and I'll be warning my friends to avoid it as well.
The irony of the whole affair was that the food itself was stone cold both times and the produce in one of the wraps tasted rotten, but I didn't even bring any of that up when I requested my order be corrected.
Anyway, it's a small person who gets so upset about such things, and I try my best, but things have been rough lately, and I'll be damned if I pay 20 bucks for food only to be bullied, especially when I'm one of the few people in lines who is consistently quiet and polite because I've worked so many jobs like that in my 20s and I remember how rough it is. I almost never fill out surveys or leave reviews, unless something exceptionally pleasant or unpleasant happens during an experience at a retail or qsr store; I'll be contacting the franchise for a full refund in the morning.
As one of the few people who braves brick and mortars to try to help support human workers, it's amazing to me that in each vertical, the hostility and horrifying customer service makes me keep giving up and just ordering everything on my phone instead. It reminds me of the experience that turned me off of the local big branch bookstore - no, millennials and genZ are not killing traditional businesses; terrible business practices and godawful customer service is doing that, and younger generations are done...
Read moreI've only visited this location once, but oh boy was it a disaster in almost every way.
Around midnight on a Friday I pulled up to the drive thru (which is open until 3:00 am), and there were 2 cars in front of me. No big deal; I'm not in a hurry. However, each customer spent a disturbingly long time (nearly 10 minutes) at the speaker making their orders. I thought that they might just be finicky customers making large orders, so I stayed in line. Unfortunately there was no telling for sure what the issue was until it was finally my turn to order...
When I pulled up to the speaker the young woman working said "Welcome to Taco Bell. Just so you know, it'll be about a 15 minute wait for your order, [inaudible] is not available, we've stopped making the fries, and there is no more rice left. Can I take your order?" I was so surprised and confused that it took me a moment to get any words out. I remembered that what I was planning to order was made largely of rice, making me regret waiting in line for so long.
Rather than changing my order to something without rice, I would have preferred to just leave. However, being far enough into the line to order completely trapped me in the drive thru. I couldn't back up because of the line of cars behind me, and I couldn't drive around the cars in front of me because this location has one of those outrageously stupid, very narrow one-way drive thru lanes. The only way out was to wait even longer, so I just made my order despite the missing rice so my time wasn't COMPLETELY wasted.
It was nearly an hour before I was finally free, which seemed to be due to under-staffing, poor training, or a combination of both. When I opened my XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito I was dismayed to find that the ONLY ingredients in the tortilla were steak, sour cream, and guacamole. It was missing not only the rice, but also the pico de gallo, cheese, avocado ranch sauce, cheese, AND beans. The burrito was absolutely pathetic; it was even torn in multiple places and folded impractically. It was like eating a wet, crumpled up mess of tortilla lumps. I was not impressed by my taco either, which didn't have enough beef, had almost no lettuce, and was, for some reason, filled mostly with diced tomatoes, which don't even come in the standard taco. The worst part was that I couldn't even correct the order once I had pulled away, since the lobby was closed, there was still a large line of cars, and there was only one way in and out of line.
To summarize, I waited for an hour to pay $10 for a wet tortilla and a bunch of diced tomatoes. In any case, the franchisee/manager need to figure out how to fully staff a fast food restaurant, purchase an adequate supply of ingredients to make the food on the menu, and teach the staff how to make that food properly and in a reasonable amount of time.
The only reason for the extra star is the employee(s?). I only saw one, who I hope was not working alone, but she was very friendly throughout the entire process. I'm not sure if she was just brand new, poorly trained, a horrible cook, or if she didn't have adequate help to move the process along effectively. I blame whomever is running the place for how terrible...
Read moreWow...... I ordered 50$ worth of food..... They forgot a part of my order. I came back, 20 minutes later being completely pleasant... I asked for a burrito supreme as well, willing to even pay for it. Honestly I think 3 dollars of food should have been free... apparently it was an issue to even pay for it, wow what an inconvenience....
They gave me my burritos that THEY forgot that were the same ones from when I ordered from 20 minutes ago, cold and soggy.
Apparently....I have to go back around to the order line for any additional items, after multiple cars... paying customers...which apprarenly I am no longer....even though the whole reason I AM in the driveline was because THEY forgot my food. IT'S NOT THEIR problem that they forgot my burritos and get back in line, drive back after 5 additional cutomers? when I was already there because of their mess up?.....no part of this situation is logical...or ethical for a company....
If it was something minor I wouldn't care, but 50$ is a BIG order to mess up. They would NOT give me further information about who to contact for a complaint or the names of whoever is working..and I would, quote "drive around. ...I dont have time for this..."????
IF the manager even cares to correct this problem, I was there 8/23/25 about 830 pm. The staff will probably say it wasnt their fault or whatever excuse.. they didnt want to hear my grievance, and told me to pull around at every sentence I PARKED in the pick up line... until I FELT my issue was resolved as a customer while I left a review. Because I am the bad guy? Not much rattles me. But this was absolutely abnoxious woman in the window was minimizing my complaint making me feel like it was my fault that they forgot a part of my order and "im not dealing with you" quote and attitude..
Don't come here! I never will.
My reviews on Google are...98% of the time... positive....for establishments who are actually amazing. The 2% of DISCUSTING CRAPHOLES, I usually dont even post... because honestly it's a waste of my time...this entire situation is absolutely ridiculous, illogical, and unethical for an establishment that serves food. I WILL report this to corporate...and the BBB if necessary in the next few days... Please get staff accountable for how they treat their food and customers....this is so time consuming and rediculous...but worth it if it prevents others from getting...
