You dont have to worry about meters, parking transients, grafitti, and there are NO paved roads. This town is meant for people that want to get away from big city life and feel like youre in a different era and enjoy nature and a different way of life. You dont have to worry about drunk driving either. The bars here are adorable saloons, the surroundings are surreal. Its fun to enjoy the bars and star gazing at night and walk to explore the area during the day! Pair this up with a stay at the Motel and youre in for a soul nourishing treat. As for food the food options are limited to only two places however you can bring your own bbq and cook it there. You can also drive down the hill to yucca valley! This is a remote western town with ranches its almost like yellowstone meets Tombstone. A lot of party people rent air bnbs and then party there and walk to the...
Read morePioneertown, CA What a fun place to visit for the day. Nestled in the middle of nowhere, off the grid literally (no cell service), and filled with old western town vibes. It's definitely a hidden gem for me! They have a great restaurant at the beginning of the town with pretty epic BBQ and drinks. They have another saloon down the way once walking through the town for wither locals/residents or tourists popping over for a visit or staying the night in the Pioneertown Motel. There is something very special about this place. It has a unique, energetic feeling that goes unnoticed the minute you touch the dirt. It also has beautiful Joshua trees throughout the area. I must stop over for people looking to experience the beauty of nature and the historical references of the past in the modern day. Enjoy my photos, and I hope you look forward to...
Read moreA unique little western “town” that was originally built as a movie set for filming Westerns by Roy Rogers. Multiple Western movies and series were shot here over the years until Hollywood stopped making most of the Western films. The town has a restaurant, a saloon, an animal petting enclosure, some interesting little shops, a church, a motel, and a post office. There is plenty of free parking and no entrance fee. You can look at the goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, and other animals in the enclosure for free, but the petting enclosure costs $10 each to enter. The street going through town is mostly closed to traffic, but it is probably only 1/2 mile or so to walk to see the entire town. It’s a great place to stop after visiting Joshua Tree park to shop, and have a drink or...
