This review is more of a rating of the new store manager, Leo G, who was just amazing today! After going to the dentist, and doing my income taxes, the next least favorite thing to do is going to a wireless store with a phone problem...lol. The only problem I had today was that I needed a new screen protector. T-Mobile recently updated and expanded its insurance coverage to provide unlimited replacements for cracked screen covers -100% covered. This is awesome.
So, when I went to the Zion store today, Leo was the only employee working at the time. He was busy helping another customer who was talking on speaker to T-Mobile's customer service. This other dude was taking forever, and all I needed was my new screen cover. While the other guy was on hold, Leo asked me what I needed. I told him, and he quickly brought out a new screen cover which he quickly installed while the other customer was still on hold.
Then, Leo told asked me if I had T-Mobile internet. I told him I had Xfinity for $35/month. Leo said he had an offer that could match Xfinity's $35/month, plus he'd give me two free weeks of internet free, free equipment (T-Mobile's 5G Gateway), and waive the activation fee. So, Leo basically offered me T-Mobile's internet for nothing payable in the store, and I walked out with a new screen cover and T-Mobile's 5G Gateway, which takes the place of Xfinity's router box. Adios Xfinity, who tried hard to screw me when I tried buying their TV service.
So, while this other dude was still yapping on the phone, Leo replaced my screen cover, completed the order for my internet and set up my internet online. Another manager likely would have made me wait until finishing with the other customer. Bravo to multitasking!!
Leo was smart, exteremely quick and efficient. Keep up the awesome job, son. And, no, I am unrelated...
Read moreWe went in simply trying to upgrade one phone. The ladies convinced us to get two Apple Watches claiming they had a deal and that one was free and the other one $30. They have you sign the agreement at home via email so we never saw the paperwork at the store. When we got home the agreement stated they were charging us the full amount for the watches and the phone. The store was already closed so I called corporate to get clarification and upon talking to a representative and being on the line for a long time they came to the conclusion that the watches were in fact not free not discounted only the lines. The representative stated she was not aware of the promotion that the store told me they were having on the watches and told me I would be signing the contract for the full amount of the watches to finance them over 24 months. Once the stored open I went in person to get clarification the salesman explained that even when there is a “promotion” you have to sign that your financing the full amount and eventually T-Mobile will credit you back. I found this very fishy and not trust worthy, once you sign a contract for an amount it is what it is and definitely not free plus corporate stated they did not see any discounts on their end for this so called watch promotion. The manager or whoever is in charge needs to train the staff better to use different language when trying to upsell lines or devices because by all means the watches were not and are NOT free or discounted. We’re upgrading the phone online instead, it’s faster, cheaper and more trust worthy than...
