Indigo Store Sapa Lao Chai — Local services in Cau May Ward

This place definitely offers the best experience in Sapa for local touch and learning about ethnic group's dying Indigo technique. We were very lucky today to be welcomed by Ms Thanh (Indigo store's founder) and her friendly staffs. They explained to us in details for every steps and the meanings. Everything (From hemp to local cuisines) comes from garden to table and workshop.

Not only the unique designs of products but also the cuisine are authentic. My group has a honeymoon couple, they were very delicated to serve things with rose and set up cozy atmosphere, then surprisingly dessert with fresh lychee and tea ceremony at the end. There were no words to describe how incredible it was!

Indigo shop is located at the beginning of road leading Lao Chai. It is highly recommended to have meals here and then join the workshop of batik painting and dying indigo color.

Wonderful place, wonderful people, excellent food and extraordinary experience!!! It was our first visit in Sapa for our honeymoon, and the owner cooked a special meal for us for this occasion ❤️ I would have already left a 6 stars (if posisble) review only for this reason, but the things got even better during our stay there. We had the chance to see how they produce every single element that is going to be used to create their products, we got introduced to a different and wonderful culture and tradition, then we did a Indigo dye ourselves. It's enough to see our happiness in the pics for a review ! If we'd ever come back to Sapa, we'll definitely...

Lovely experience here and i highly recommend coming in the morning to take in the scenery as well. The place is serene, calming and the workshop was educational and fun albeit cold in the winter months.

The staff were super kind, hospitable and friendly and the owner Thanh made us feel extremely welcome with her generosity and conversations. Her knowledge on the processes and the history of indigo in the region is very comprehensive and we had a good tea drinking session with her too. Thank you for such a lovely time!
