The best place to find affordable items in Thao Dien like food, tofu, vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, egg, dried shrimp, and other cooking essentials. Few shops are available for clothes, hardware etc. Some vendors sell cooked food also inside that you could try. I go there in a weekly basis to purchase all items for the weekdays. Affordable rates than the supermarket. People are friendly, just point out what you want and they will show you the price. I did not have to bargain here as the prices were lesser than the supermarket prices. Can use metro and exit at Thao Dien station and walk to the market. Most of the market is covered, but no AC, and its the size of a small supermarket. There are a good amount of individual vendors for fruits, veggies, meats, fish, tofu, flowers, and household goods. Some will charge you more, some will charge you the regular price but either way its still cheaper then an actual supermarket prices.
