Excellent food tour! Thom is an outstanding tour guide. He’s such a joyful, considerate guy and his passion for Huế cuisine is infectious. The tour is really good value for the experience, as you stop at multiple places and get to taste a range of dishes. We even visited the Đông Ba Market, where Thom guided us around. We interacted w the sellers and learned a lot about the traditional foods at the market. Thom has deep knowledge about the history of the foods, their preparation and the cultural contexts of the dishes, not to mention fluent English to deliver all of that knowledge. The cyclo ride is also a nice touch. As it was drizzling during our tour, the cyclo drivers went out of their way to make sure we were totally dry and comfortable during the tour, providing rain jackets and covers. It was cool to see all parts of the city. Riding down some of the beautiful small alleyways makes you feel like you’re traveling back in time! Overall, I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Huế who is interested in getting to know this lovely city and its delicious food. Thanks again for a...

This tour is a great way to explore the city of Hue and the food it has to offer. Sitting in a cyclo is a totally relaxing mode of transportation: there is always a light breeze, and one sees and smells the city in a much more direct way than on a scooter or in a car. I liked that we didn't just eat, but also explored the market and saw the produce, fish and meat. The tour is very well designed and we didn't feel stuffed at the end. There is more than enough food - we didn't need or want dinner afterwards - but it wasn't too much. We ate at many different places in different parts of the city, from hip cafes to small holes in the wall. Overall this is a very well designed tour, and in our case we had a great guide to add to...
Read moreMy wife and I had the food tour to ourselves! How lucky were we! Thom met us at our hotel with his two cyclocab drivers. Thom provided us with an extensive list of foods we were going to experience during our 3+ hour tour. Thom is extremely knowledgable and definitely took us to some of the best local eateries that we probably wouldn’t have experienced during our short stay in Hue. DO NOT eat before this tour!! You will have more than enough food. Highlights for us were the beef noodle soup, the Hue pancake, the grilled pork vermicelli and the special coffee. Thom also walks you through the large market that includes, fruit, veggies, seafood and everything else you can imagine. Can’t recommend this...
