📍 Parc national de la Mauricie - A Perfect Nature Escape

We left Quebec City in the morning and drove to Parc national de la Mauricie—totally worth it! The scenery was breathtaking, and the crowds were minimal. 🌲🚗 The park stretches over 60km along its main road, dotted with lookout points, hiking trails, and canoe rentals. You can stop whenever you want to soak in the views! Morning Adventure 🔹 Road Trip to the Park A 2.5-hour drive (200km) from Quebec City to Parc national de la Mauricie. We entered through Saint-Jean-des-Piles. 🔹 Park Info & Firsthand Experience Entry fee: Normally CAD$9.55/person, but we lucked out—free admission when we went! The park rangers hand out super helpful maps (see pic 4). The main road is ~63km long, with scenic viewpoints and trailheads all along the way. Clear signage tells you the next stop’s name and distance—no strict itinerary needed! We randomly picked spots to explore—some for hiking, others for canoeing. So peaceful! Note: The Le Passage area is currently closed for construction (they’ll warn you at the entrance). Afternoon 🔹 Heading Back Even though we took it slow, the day still felt packed with adventure! 😆 Montreal was lively, Quebec City charming, and this park? Pure serenity. No pressure to "must-see" anything—just wandering freely was perfect. Where to next? No idea… but we’ll keep exploring wherever the road takes us! #NatureEscape #RoadTripVibes #CanadianAdventure #NationalPark #HikingLife #CanoeDay #QuebecTravel #NoPlanJustGo
