Victoria Getaway | 2 Days, 1 Night 🌿
Spent Easter long weekend exploring Victoria—flowers, beaches, and chocolate galore! 🚢 Ferry & Logistics Tsawwassen → Swartz Bay: 1h35m each way. Arrive 40-60 mins early for check-in (holiday crowds!). Easter closures: Many shops/restaurants closed, but McDonald’s + Butchart Gardens stayed open! 🏨 Stay: Fairmont Empress 📍 Inner Harbour (next to Parliament + Beacon Hill Park). 🅿️ Parking: $37 CAD (self-park at Victoria Conference Centre). 🌸 Sightseeing 1️⃣ Butchart Gardens Tulips in full bloom 🌷 (roses not yet). Easter bonus: Live music + egg hunts! 2️⃣ Beacon Hill Park Peacocks roaming freely + mini goats 🦚. 3️⃣ Fisherman’s Wharf Colorful floating houses (great for photos!). 4️⃣ Steve Fonyo Beach 10-min walk from downtown—quiet sunset spot. 5️⃣ BC Parliament Nighttime lights make it look like a fairy-tale castle. 6️⃣ Rogers’ Chocolates 100-year-old shop—try the Victoria Creams. 7️⃣ Hatley Castle Closed for tours but still stunning from outside. 8️⃣ Glass Beach Disappointing: Few glass pebbles, but cute seaside shacks. ☕ Food & Coffee 1️⃣ Habit Coffee London Fog latte = cozy vibes. 2️⃣ Crust Bakery Lychee-rose pastry (pretty but oily). 3️⃣ Ocean Garden Restaurant Forgot pics (too hungry!), but satay beef + shrimp w/ snow peas hit the spot. 💡 Tips ✔ Book ferries early (holidays sell out). ✔ Parking: Empress charges $50+ for valet—self-park nearby! ✔ Easter Plan B: Butchart Gardens is a safe bet for food/activities. #VictoriaBC #WeekendGetaway #SpringTravel
