Beautiful beach. Came here during our vacation, the place has amazing spots for picture, a little park for kids to place, and nice waters for a quick swim. Only problem is, there is an insane amount of rocks in the water. I bled a little when it cut my foot.. so i would be careful where you step. Otherwise, the water isn't too deep, not too cold either. This is definitely a place that deserves to be called a beach. 👏

Steve Fonyo Beach, Victoria BC The beach and a plaque nearby honor the accomplishment of Steve Fonyo, a Hungarian Canadian runner who ran across Canada in 1985. Following in Terry Fox's footsteps, Fonyo raised funds and awareness for cancer research. As a survivor of cancer himself, Fonyo raised $14 million for the cause. Steve Fonyo Beach offers a relaxing beach experience. Situated along Dallas Road, this beach boasts a moderate length, providing ample space for visitors to soak up the sun and enjoy the coastal ambiance. The sand at Steve Fonyo Beach is soft and golden, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Steve Fonyo Beach has few amenities, so plan your trip accordingly, although it does provide bathroom access for visitors' convenience and allows dogs on a leash, making it a pet-friendly destination. activities available at the beach include sunbathing, picnicking, beachcombing, kite flying, and taking leisurely walks along the shoreline. Parking at Steve Fonyo Beach is available along Dallas Road and the surrounding streets. It is important to be mindful of any parking regulations and restrictions to ensure a smooth visit. Some areas may have time limits or require payment, so it is advisable to check parking signs for specific information. In addition to enjoying the beach, there are several attractions and activities to explore near Steve Fonyo Beach. The nearby Beacon Hill Park offers beautiful gardens, scenic walking paths, and a petting zoo, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The Ross Bay Cemetery, located in close proximity, is a historic cemetery known for its picturesque setting and notable gravesites. For those interested in maritime history, the nearby Ogden Point Breakwater offers a scenic walk along the harbor, with views of passing ships and the iconic Victoria coastline. When it comes to dining, there are several restaurants within a short distance of Steve Fonyo Beach that offer various cuisines. The Breakwater Bistro & Bar, situated nearby, provides waterfront dining with a menu featuring fresh seafood and delicious cocktails. Nice little beach to walk around and see the ocean. Wear comfortable shoes because if you want to walk close to the water it's all rocks. There isn't really a Sandy beach section so much. And it's not really a spot where you want to swim. But rather you can sit and have a picnic lunch or bring your dog or kids to run around and get some exercise. There isn't really much in terms of eating around that area except one little small cafe. But we brought a bag lunch and sat near the water to eat. It's a fairly low amenities, but it's a pretty good nature spot. Up closer to the parking section there is a small little prayground and a small little duck pond. But you're not going to spend the whole day here. It's basically a spot where you would take the kids for an hour or two. There was free 3-hour parking which...
