πββοΈπ¨ Weekend Escape to Isola Bella π
Escaping Milan for the weekend! β The destination for this getaway is Isola Bella + Parco Villa Pallavicino ππ The Borromeo family acquired the Borromean Islands in the 16th century. Our visit to Isola Bella is the very place where Beatrice, the third daughter of the Borromeo family, married Prince Pierre of Monaco. π°πΌββοΈπ€΅πΌ Parco Villa Pallavicino, originally a noble's private estate, was later opened to the public. Route: π Depart from Milano Centrale to Stresa, a journey of about one and a half hours, with a one-way ticket costing 8.6β¬. After exiting the station, follow the crowd π«π« to the seafront where a small kiosk sells ferry tickets. You can buy tickets to one island or all three. I bought a single ticket to Bella Island for 5β¬. Tell the ticket seller π¨π»βπΌ your destination, and he will mark it on your ticket and write down the latest time for your return journey β°. Then, you can board the ferry based on the company's color and logo. I bought a round-trip ticket. Upon arrival at Bella Island, skip the line, scan a QR code to buy tickets π« for the ancient castle π° directly for 22β¬, then show the ticket to the inspector π©π»βπΌ for entry. After visiting the castle π°, take the boat π€ back π and find a well-rated π restaurant for lunch π½οΈ at 25β¬, a plate of pasta π + a drink π·. After lunch, rejuvenated βπ», follow the navigation to Parco Villa Pallavicino, where you can again scan and buy tickets π« for 15β¬, show the ticket to the inspector, and start exploringο½ Tired from all the fun β , return to Stresa and head back π to Milan π Castle π°: Filled with the ambiance of the Borromeo family's life, their living quarters ποΈ, screening room π¦, basement, music room π΅, and paintings by artists they patronized, among other things. I was so awestruck that I forgot to take photos π·. Outside is a garden with many tulips π·, and you can take pictures with the sea as a backdrop. It's definitely worth a visit ππ» Estate π°: A combination of a park π³ and a farm. The park is filled with various flowers πΈ. The farm has sheep π that are not afraid of people at all; you can touch them directly. There are also deer π¦, bison π¦, owls π¦, hares π°, camels π¦, and tortoises π’... I wanted to touch the llamas π¦, but they were sleeping πͺ, so I missed out π. But!! π I saw a white peacock display its feathers, and it's said that those who see it will have good fortune π§. Whether it's true or not, I share this good luck with everyone π₯°π₯° #Europe #Italy #ItalianLife #Spring #MyStory #Travel #EuropeanLife
