🇨🇦🇺🇸 4-Day 3-Night Chicago Travel & Food Guide from Toronto
Just got back from Gotham City~ Sharing my itinerary and delicious finds! Day 1 🚗 Departed at 9 AM, crossed the border via Ambassador Bridge 🌉. 🍖 Had lunch at Zukin's Rib Shack —ribs were flavorful, and they also had fried frog legs 🐸! (Takeout only.) 🏙️ Arrived in Chicago at 8 PM. Stayed at CitizenM Downtown—super close to attractions! 🅿️ Pro tip: Book parking in advance! 🌮 Dinner at Broken English Taco Pub tacos were decent but not mind-blowing. Day 2 ☕ Started the day with Blue Bottle Coffee—their Iced Nola was refreshing! 😋 🏛️ Visited Millennium Park (The Bean & Crown Fountain ⛲). 📸 Stopped at Adams & Wabash L Station for a iconic phot—requires a ticket! ✨ Explored the Chicago Cultural Center—don’t miss the stunning dome 🍽️ Lunch at The Purple Pig—Mushroom Risotto was cheesy and amazing! 🧀 Pork belly was good, but half duck 🦆 was dry and meh. 🖼️ Spent the afternoon at the Art Institute—grab a map; the layout is confusing! 🌅 Took the Shoreline Sightseeing 75-min boat tour 🚤 at 6:45 PM—bring a jacket! Perfect for sunset 🌇 and city lights. 🍜 Dinner at Ramen-San —their 10-hour Tonkotsu Ramen was rich and delicious! Day 3 🌞 10 AM: Visited the world’s largest Starbucks! Had breakfast on the 3rd floo—pastries were a bit too sweet, but the new tiramisu coffee ☕ was great. 🛍️ Explored the Magnificent Mile for shopping! 🍵 Lunch at Minghin Cuisine for dim sum—authentic and tasty! 🍺 Tried Butterbeer at the Harry Potter exhibit —super sweet soda, no alcohol 😅. 🍪 Picked up 6 mini Crumbl cookies on the way back to the hotel—so good! 😍 🌃 Headed out at 8 PM to see the Chicago Theatre night view, then grabbed snacks at Eataly 🧀. 🍹 Ended the night at Starbucks Reserve 4th floor for cocktails —all delicious! 🎆 Finished with fireworks at Navy Pier Day 4 🚗 Headed back to Toronto early. 🍗 Stopped in Detroit for lunch at Bad Brads BBQPork Burnt Ends and Ribs were tasty! Beef brisket was a bit tough, and chicken was skip-worthy. 🛒 Shopped at Trader Joe’s for snacks before crossing back to Canada via Blue Water Bridge 🌉. #Toronto #Chicago #ChicagoLife #ChicagoFood #ChicagoTravel #TorontoLife
