🇨🇦 How to Explore Nanaimo Like a Pro! 📄
Last weekend’s mini getaway took us to Nanaimo! (For outdoor adventures, check my previous post.) This time, we’re hitting the urban highlights! 🏙️ 🚗 Stop 1: Little Qualicum Cheeseworks 🧀 Cheese heaven! A must-visit for cheese lovers. Fresh milk on tap! Bring your own bottle or pay a $0.75 deposit for theirs. ($4 for 2L—but the bottle fits 1.75L, so drink the extra on the spot! 🥛😋) Meet the cows & goats! 🐄🐑 Perfect for kids. ⏰ Heads up: Closes at 4 PM! 🛍️ Stop 2: Old City Quarter (aka Nanaimo’s charming downtown) Park your car and explore for 2-3 hours—full of artsy shops! Must-try: Cold Front Gelato 🍦 (So good, we went back two days in a row! Every flavor slaps—just blind-order!) Pink café alert! The Vault Cafe (a quirky, Instagrammable spot). 🌳 Stop 3: Maffeo Sutton Park (7-8 mins walk from Old City Quarter) Spend half a day here! That blue sky + green grass combo had me ready to nap outdoors. 😍 So dreamy, I’d revisit just for this park! (My little sister literally rolled around in joy on the lawn! 🤸♀️) ⏳ Weekend tip: No need to wait for a holiday! With long summer daylight, you can easily stay until 7-8 PM before heading back. #SummerVibes #ExploreCanada #CanadianLife #VancouverIsland #NanaimoAdventures #WeekendEscapes #FoodieFinds #TravelGram 🌞🧀🚢
