Nanaimo Blue is Pacific Blue

Of course, long weekend means island escape! This time, we headed to Nanaimo—finally got perfect weather on the last day, and it was all about that dreamy blue! 🌊💙 📍 First Stop: Gabriola Island Adventure Took the ferry from Nanaimo Harbour 🚗⛴️—$41 round trip for 1 car + 2 people. No reservation needed—just show up, buy tickets, and queue! This tiny island is surrounded by ocean, and the blue skies made it anything but melancholic! Explored Malaspina Galleries, where waves have sculpted stunning rock formations over time. Perfect for beachside daydreaming and insta-worthy shots! 📸 Also checked out Brickyard Beach (great for tide pooling!), but watch out—there’s been recent pollution risk. Do your research before going! ⚠️ 📍 Second Stop: Neck Point Provincial Park Dog-friendly 🐕 & an easy 2.9km loop trail with breathtaking coastal views! Plenty of benches along the way—ideal for ocean-gazing and soul-soothing! 🌊💆‍♀️ #VancouverIsland #PacificVibes #OceanLover #Wanderlust #ExploreBC #NanaimoGuide #IslandLife #LongWeekendEscape 🌞📸
