🇨🇦 Nanaimo Oyster Hunt: Expectations vs Reality

Went to the famous Nanoose Bay for oysters... but barely spotted any! 🦪❌ Ended up prying a few tiny ones off rocks - at least we didn't go home empty-handed! 🪣 Clams were small too, just grabbed a handful. Maybe we weren't early enough? Saw piles of big oyster shells along the shore - seems the early birds get the bounty! (How early? Depends on tides ⏰🌊) Found a hidden cliff path in a neighborhood instead - the waves crashing against rocks were absolutely breathtaking! 🌊💙 Worth the trip even without oysters. First time = scouting mission! We'll be back next year for round 2! 💪 Check the lowest tide time the night before!
