How could you visit BC in summer without exploring Vancouver Island? 🤭 This trip started in Nanaimo and wound all the way down to downtown Victoria! 🌅 Day 1: The Early Bird Adventure Woke up at 4 AM 🥱 to catch the 6:30 AM ferry 🚢 (stressful, but made it!) Passed out immediately on board—sleep mode activated 💤 Docked at 8 AM—so much time to explore! Early risers win! 🐦🐛 📍 Nanaimo Highlights: 🏞️ Maffeo Sutton Park Seaside strolls + a brand-new playground (ziplines, slides, swings!) Kids can splash at the beach and hunt for tiny fish 🐟 🌮 Gina's Mexican Cafe Authentic, affordable Mexican lunch—highly recommended! 🏛️ Nanaimo Museum Snap pics of the historic Bastion building 📸 ☕ The Vault Cafe Grab a coffee + the iconic Nanaimo Bar (one of Canada’s Top 10 Foods!) 🍫 🚂 Chemainus (The Mural Town) Quaint streets covered in stunning murals—check my other post for details! 🌉 Kinsol Trestle Abandoned railway bridge 🛤️—15-min walk from parking. Not for acrophobes!
