This time, we discovered a direct ferry (Hullo) from DT Flight Centre straight to Nanaimo! ⛴️ ✨ Only 70 mins to arrive, and there’s a FREE shuttle bus from the terminal to downtown (super handy!). We checked out the famous "Vault Café" ☕—honestly? The food was just… okay. Not amazing, and not great value for money. 😅 But the upstairs has a cute hidden shop worth browsing! 💎 Nanaimo Museum runs on donations (pay what you want!), and it has a cool mini coal mine tunnel—you can walk through with an old-school kerosene lamp! 🔦 🌊 There’s also a lovely seaside park with a carousel 🎠—great views, and kids will love the playground! 🚢 Pro Tip: The ferry is new & comfy, but book ahead! It gets chilly onboard, so bring a jacket. 💰 Fares are pricier than Horseshoe Bay’s (~$75 round trip per person), but it’s fast (75 mins) & super convenient for DT folks!
