๐ฎ๐น | A Two-Day Food Diary in Rome ๐
๐ Klass Restaurant Just arrived in Rome and randomly picked this place near the hotel. It had pasta and pizza, and I finally got to try the carbonara I'd been craving. It was perfect for my love of salted egg yolk! // The pizza crust was a bit rough, but the parma ham and tomato seasoning were spot-on. // The spinach was surprisingly tasty, with a distinctly Chinese flavor. ๐ฒ ๐ Piccolo Buco This super-popular pizza place had a line even 15 minutes before opening. The crust was incredibly soft and airyโdefinitely outshining my usual go-to spot back home. // The burrata margherita was my favorite pizza flavor. // But the yellow tomatoes with zucchini seemed more appealing to Chinese taste buds. ๐ ๐ Ristorante Agrodolce Roma I was hoping for truffle pasta, but the truffle flavor was a bit underwhelming. // The upside was the pasta texture, which was much better than the al dente ones I had on the first day. // I ordered chicory for dietary fiber, but it was pretty unpalatable. ๐ฅฌ ๐ Venchi In the land of gelato, I indulged in my favorite flavor from back home. The prices were incredibly reasonable, just half of what I'd pay in Shanghai! I even picked up a few one-euro chocolates. Pistachio gelato, I love you! ๐ฆ ๐ Giolitti This place seems to be a hit on social media, but I found it just okay. The pistachio and rice flavors were a bit bland, and the chocolate on the cone tasted cheap, almost like cocoa butter substitute. We all agreed that Venchi is still our favorite. ๐จ #ItalianCuisine #RomeRestaurants #RomanDelights #RomeTravel #ItalianFood #RomanGelato #FoodieDiary
