🇮🇹 48-Hour City Walk in Milan

🏨: Innside Milano Torre Galfa – Safe, clean, and very close to the Central Station. Easy to get a taxi. Mini bar offers free drinks including water, soda, and three types of juice soft drinks, replenished daily. Housekeeping is prompt. 🍞: Cream buns – Even non-sweet lovers were amazed! So delicious! ⛪️: Milan Cathedral. Listened to the audio guide via an app – the Milan Cathedral is one of the largest Gothic buildings in the world, taking over 500 years to complete. Truly a marvel in architectural history! 🛍️: La Rinascente (so easy to shop and explore). LV has a full range of products, and the Parma counter staff were very generous. Venchi chocolate on the 7th floor is super affordable, only €5.90 per bar. 💄: Kiko (the store near the Milan Cathedral offers engraving, but it was very crowded. Just bought two lipsticks and left quickly). 🍚 (1) 📍Le Chalet – A Western restaurant run by a Wenzhou, very suited to the Chinese palate. Red shrimp and asparagus pasta + lobster pasta were amazing. Grilled fish + chili powder (brought my own) was my favorite. The staff were friendly, and the owner was generous – served us complimentary lemon sorbet and gave us water when we left after a nice chat. Great food, affordable, and full marks for! 💯 (2) 📍Pino in Duomo – Located on the side of the Milan Cathedral. The pork chop was good, and paired perfectly with some chili powder (brought my own). (3) 📍Yī Kǒu Shā Guō (A Bite Clay Pot) – Didn’t take pictures, but it’s right across from CIACCO. Saved my Chinese stomach – the clay pot beef noodles were delicious! 🍦: CIACCO – Highly recommend the hibiscus flavor (Bissap). 🖼️: The Last Supper (15-minute "viewing time" – it’s best to arrive early. We were late, so our viewing time was shorter. Staff strictly monitor the time and will usher you out when it’s over). 💰 Tax Refund: Milan Airport【T1, 4th Floor, Zone 12】. Note that tax refund applications are only accepted 4 hours before flight departure. There are three companies【Blue, Yellow, Green】. Global Blue (blue) has the most self-service machines for automated refunds. GB can refund to Alipay (instant, with two receipts) or WeChat. The second is the yellow Tax Refund company – manual process, very convenient for small cash refunds. The third is the green Planet – manual process. Chanel works with Planet for tax refunds. Chanel cannot refund to Alipay, but refunds to WeChat are instant. For a €770 refund, only a €5 fee was charged, so €765 was refunded – not bad! 📝 Slowly organizing and categorizing photos after returning, and jotting down details and moods I didn’t have time to record during the trip.
