🇮🇹 Milan | Exploring the Michelin-Recommended Japanese Cuisine 🍣
When Nobuya first opened, friends went to check it out and I saw many posts about it. Initially, reviews were mixed, but after letting the restaurant settle for a while, I decided to pay it a visit. 🕺 🥢 The restaurant is located near Cadorna metro station in central Milan. The entrance is quite discreet and easy to miss, but you'll spot the sign that says NOBUYA once you get closer. Upon entering, you're greeted by a large, transparent kitchen. The dining area is divided into two halls on either side, creating a pleasant atmosphere. 🏠 📝 The menu offers a choice between the Menu degustazione (tasting menu) or à la carte options. At first glance, the à la carte menu doesn't seem to have many innovative dishes—mostly sashimi, sushi, and some second-course meat dishes, all with quite high prices. We were unsure what to choose, so we all opted for the Menu degustazione (€140 per person). We weren't sure if it was mandatory for the whole table to order the same thing, but it turned out to be a good choice. Later, we realized that maybe not everyone had to order the same menu. 🍱 🍱 The Menu degustazione was quite satisfying. The quality of the sashimi and the flavor of the grilled fish were both excellent. The only dish that was slightly underwhelming was the king crab 🦀, which was a bit salty and didn't have a strong crab flavor. Everything else was great, though the Dongpo Pork was a bit too rich because we were already full. The desserts, however, were outstanding! Both were unique and delicious. 🍰 💰 Average cost per person: €140-180 (including drinks) 🍊 Orange's Review 🍊: The soy sauce served with the sashimi is imported from Japan and has a thicker consistency. The wasabi is freshly grated on-site. The grilled fish cheeks were particularly delicious—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We mentioned it was a friend's birthday when booking, and the staff were very attentive from the start. They even prepared candles and a Japanese "Happy Birthday" song for the dessert, which added a lovely touch. The service was excellent throughout. 🌟 📍 Nobuya #MilanLife #MilanFood #FoodieUniverse #HiddenGemRestaurant #MilanJapaneseCuisine #MilanRestaurants #MilanMichelin #AmbianceDining #RestaurantRecommendation #JapaneseCuisine #ImmersiveJapaneseExperience #MilanDuomo #DateNightRestaurant
