🇮🇹 Milan · Michelin-Recommended Restaurant Under €30 per Person!
Meet Dongiò — an Italian restaurant open since 1987, specializing in Calabrian (Southern Italy) cuisine and recommended by Michelin for years! 📍 Near Porta Romana (Yellow Line). Very popular — book in advance! Two of us ordered a lot and spent just €35 each. Google says avg. €20-30 — such a steal! Here’s what we tried 👇 ① Starter: Bellecotto Sliced Italian red sausage with turnip greens purée bread and potato mash. Sausage was juicy but a bit oily. The purée bread had a fresh, slightly bitter green taste. Savory potato mash with a hint of chives. ⭐ Rating: 7/10 ② Pasta: Spaghetti al Caviale Povero di Calabria Spaghetti with “poor man’s caviar” (sardine roe) — a Calabrian specialty. A little spicy, packed with seafood umami, and finished with fresh fennel notes. ⭐ Rating: 7/10 ③ Main 1: Coscia di Faraona Pancettata (Guinea Fowl) A masterpiece of roasting — thigh stuffed with endive and sausage, wrapped in bacon, roasted to golden perfection. Tender, flavorful, with amazing layers of texture. ⭐ Rating: 9.5/10 ④ Main 2: Filetto di Manzo alla Normanna (Normandy-Style Beef Fillet) The MVP of the night! Michelin knows beef 🥩 Likely cooked medium-rare — incredibly tender, juicy, and melts in your mouth. A must-order! ⭐ Rating: 10/10 ⑤ Dessert: Tiramisu Chilled, silky, not too sweet — with beautiful coffee aroma. Only €6 (cheaper than most places!). I spotted it on every table — universal love! ⭐ Rating: 10/10 📌 Final tips: Must-order → Steak + Tiramisu Highly recommend → Guinea Fowl And don’t forget to book! 📍 Name: Dongiò 🌍 Google: 4.4 (1,300+ reviews) 💰 Avg: €20-30 🏆 My Milan 1000+ Reviews Project: 79/100 (Trying 100 Milan restaurants with 1000+ Google reviews, min. rating 4.3 ⭐) #MichelinEats #MilanFood #ItalianCuisine #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGems #FoodDiary #TravelMilan #EatLikeALocal #FineDiningWithoutThePriceTag
