🇮🇹 Milano | A Power Walk Through Churches & Food ☕️
Here’s how I explored Milan on foot — culture, coffee, and gelato included! 👣✨ 1️⃣ Teatro alla Scala (La Scala Opera House) 🎭 A must for music and history lovers! Outside stands the Leonardo da Vinci Monument — perfect for a thoughtful photo moment 📸. 2️⃣ Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II 🛍️ ✨ Look up: Four stunning ceiling mosaics symbolizing the continents (Asia features Qing Dynasty motifs). ✨ Look down: Beautiful floor emblems of Italy’s great cities — Rome, Florence, Milan, Turin. 3️⃣ Duomo di Milano 🏛️ Don’t just walk in — do your homework! This Gothic masterpiece is packed with details: 6,000+ statues, stunning stained glass, and a rooftop with epic views. I love watching art explainer videos (like “Gu Ye”) before visiting — helps know where to focus your eyes! 👀 🧭 From here, I continued my DIY city walk around the Duomo area: 4️⃣ Chiesa di San Bernardino alle Ossa (Bone Chapel) 💀 A 15-min walk from the Duomo — unassuming outside, unforgettable inside. Walls and chapels decorated with human bones and skulls. Eerie, historic, humbling. 📵 No photos allowed, but the atmosphere stays with you. 5️⃣ Food & Coffee Stop! 🧁🍦 Since my tour didn’t include dinner, I went exploring: Pasticceria Marchesi ☕️ — historic café, perfect espresso and pastries. Cioccolati Italiani 🍫 — famous chocolate-dipped gelato cones. Luini 🥟 — try the panzerotti (fried dough stuffed with tomato and mozzarella). You can’t leave Milan without tasting its sweet and savory treats! #MilanDiaries #CultureWalk #HiddenMilan #TravelGram #ItalyFoodTour #GelatoLover #SoloTravel #ArchitectureLover
