๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’ƒ 3-Day 2-Night Lazy Itinerary for New Orleans

๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„I think 3 to 4 days is about enough to explore the entire city of New Orleans. Hereโ€™s my personal itinerary: Day 1: Exploring the French Quarter โšœ๏ธ We stayed at a hotel south of the French Quarter, which doesnโ€™t feel very large.๐ŸŽ My check-in order was: Jackson Square - St. Louis Cathedral - The LaBranche House ๐Ÿก These are the three must-visit spots in the French Quarter; the rest of the area is mostly shops. You can wander around, grab some food, and take the whole day at a relaxed paceโ€”no need to rush.๐Ÿ๐ŸŽผ ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™‰After dinner in the evening, you can head to Mahogany Jazz Hall to listen to jazz. Remember to book in advance, as same-day reservations may be unavailable. Day 2: Morning Swamp Tour ๐ŸŠ + Afternoon National World War II Museum ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Itโ€™s recommended to book both in advance. For the swamp tour, we booked with Cajun Encounters Tours.๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒป The experience was great overall, and the guide was very responsible. We reserved the earliest slot at 9:30, and the tour ended around 11:00-11:20.๐Ÿœ ๐Ÿ›After lunch, we visited the National World War II Museum, which has five exhibition halls. It also includes two immersive experiences: Beyond All Boundaries and Final Mission. You can check the museumโ€™s official website for descriptions to decide whether to join these experiences.๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€ The museum is quite large, so an afternoon isnโ€™t really enough to see everything. If you want to explore it thoroughly, I suggest setting aside a full day for it.๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž ๐ŸŽ‰Day 3: Laura Plantation โž• Oak Alley Plantation Guided tours for both plantations can be booked online directly, and each tour lasts about 1 hour. You canโ€™t explore Laura Plantation on your own, so once the tour ends, thereโ€™s not much else to do there.๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽˆ At Oak Alley Plantation, the main house can only be entered with a guide, but after the tour, youโ€™re free to wander and take photos around the entire plantation.๐Ÿš— The plantation is perfect for taking photosโ€”itโ€™s recommended to go when the sun isnโ€™t too strong, otherwise it will be extremely hot If you donโ€™t need much time for taking photos at the plantations,๐Ÿ  you can combine the swamp tour and plantations into one day, and dedicate a full day to the National World War II Museum.๐Ÿซ This way, your schedule wonโ€™t be too tiring, and youโ€™ll also have enough time to enjoy the museum.๐Ÿข๐Ÿข The downside is that it takes about 1.5 hours to drive from the swamp to the plantations. #StudyAbroadLife #LifeAbroad #StudentTravel #NewOrleans #NewOrleansTravelGuide #NewOrleansJazz #NewOrleansTrip
