๐บ๐ธ๐ 3-Day 2-Night Lazy Itinerary for New Orleans
๐๐I think 3 to 4 days is about enough to explore the entire city of New Orleans. Hereโs my personal itinerary: Day 1: Exploring the French Quarter โ๏ธ We stayed at a hotel south of the French Quarter, which doesnโt feel very large.๐ My check-in order was: Jackson Square - St. Louis Cathedral - The LaBranche House ๐ก These are the three must-visit spots in the French Quarter; the rest of the area is mostly shops. You can wander around, grab some food, and take the whole day at a relaxed paceโno need to rush.๐๐ผ ๐๐After dinner in the evening, you can head to Mahogany Jazz Hall to listen to jazz. Remember to book in advance, as same-day reservations may be unavailable. Day 2: Morning Swamp Tour ๐ + Afternoon National World War II Museum ๐๏ธ Itโs recommended to book both in advance. For the swamp tour, we booked with Cajun Encounters Tours.๐ป๐ป The experience was great overall, and the guide was very responsible. We reserved the earliest slot at 9:30, and the tour ended around 11:00-11:20.๐ ๐After lunch, we visited the National World War II Museum, which has five exhibition halls. It also includes two immersive experiences: Beyond All Boundaries and Final Mission. You can check the museumโs official website for descriptions to decide whether to join these experiences.๐๐ The museum is quite large, so an afternoon isnโt really enough to see everything. If you want to explore it thoroughly, I suggest setting aside a full day for it.๐๐ ๐Day 3: Laura Plantation โ Oak Alley Plantation Guided tours for both plantations can be booked online directly, and each tour lasts about 1 hour. You canโt explore Laura Plantation on your own, so once the tour ends, thereโs not much else to do there.๐๐ At Oak Alley Plantation, the main house can only be entered with a guide, but after the tour, youโre free to wander and take photos around the entire plantation.๐ The plantation is perfect for taking photosโitโs recommended to go when the sun isnโt too strong, otherwise it will be extremely hot If you donโt need much time for taking photos at the plantations,๐ you can combine the swamp tour and plantations into one day, and dedicate a full day to the National World War II Museum.๐ซ This way, your schedule wonโt be too tiring, and youโll also have enough time to enjoy the museum.๐ข๐ข The downside is that it takes about 1.5 hours to drive from the swamp to the plantations. #StudyAbroadLife #LifeAbroad #StudentTravel #NewOrleans #NewOrleansTravelGuide #NewOrleansJazz #NewOrleansTrip
