🍽️ | Recommendations for Buffalo Cuisine

Anchor Bar The world’s first restaurant to serve Buffalo wings. Its interior style is great for photo ops, but if you’re only here to try the flavor, any branch works.☄️☄️ My dining partner and I ordered two entrees, each with an add-on of 5 bone-in wings. We were totally stuffed afterward – it’s cheap, good value, and portions are huge. - 🍝 Spaghetti & Meatballs: Plain noodles and plain meatballs. I won’t order this again.💧 - 🍗 Anchor Bar Chicken Tenders: I chose the Honey Bourbon BBQ sauce. It tastes like honey-mustard Korean fried chicken but without the mustard. It’s okay for the first few bites, but gets greasy after more. However, dipping it in the Ranch sauce (served with every dish, slightly tangy and grease-cutting) makes it way better! So be sure to use the side sauce.🌈🌈 For the wings, I picked two sauces: - Spicy BBQ: I couldn’t tell the difference between this and Honey Bourbon BBQ. They taste similar, but this one is less sweet – and not spicy at all.⚡ ⛈️⛈️- Habanero Ranch (from the Dry Rubs section): Highly recommended. The wings are coated in dried chili flakes, with higher heat than other options, but are more aromatic than spicy. That said, it might still be a bit spicy for those who can’t handle heat (e.g., people from Guangdong or Jiangsu-Zhejiang regions) – proceed with caution.🍎 And! This was my first time realizing raw celery is so good. I used to hate celery’s distinct taste, but after feeling greasy from the wings, a bite of celery made my soul feel “elevated” [excited emoji]. 💫 Overall: High-calorie, cheap, and filling. The decor is unique – there’s even a Sichuan-registered license plate prominently displayed near the entrance (look to your right when you walk in!). Saigon Cafe☕☕ We ended up here by accident. We originally planned to go to Pho Lantern Restaurant (ranked #1 on Yelp), but found it closed for a week when we arrived. So we switched to this spot we found on a whim. 🍰 The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with a bar near the entrance.🍍🍍 - 🦐 Pad Thai with Shrimp: Sweet, sour, and super delicious – right up my alley. I chose “Asian Spicy” heat, but it only meant two bird’s eye chilies sprinkled on top; once I picked them out, there was no spiciness left. - 🥓 Saigon Special with Brown Rice: This was just so-so – not recommended. - 🥤 Thai Iced Tea: My memory of Thai tea is forever tied to the summer I turned 20, when I had the best Thai tea at a 7-Eleven in Thailand. Every Thai iced tea since has been a “poor imitation,” and this one is even less impressive than most. 💫 The staff were very friendly. Each table has a small candle, and dining by the window at night is quite cozy. #Buffalo #NiagaraFalls #BuffaloWings
