Travel Guide to Albury, an Underrated Town in Australia

Albury: A Refreshing Border Town🏖️🏖️ 😍😍Nestled on the border of New South Wales and Victoria, Albury is a delightfully refreshing town—clean, beautiful, and with buildings and locals that feel like they’ve stepped out of a video game. 🍐🎼It’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression long after you’ve visited. Recommended Attractions Hume Dam🙉 The dam boasts waters of two different hues on either side: the left side is a clear, bright blue, which looks wonderfully fresh against the green grass; the right side has the soft, pale color of lake water, evoking memories of The Neck Lookout in Tasmania.🌻🌻 City Centre Architecture🍉🍉 The buildings in town are quintessentially vintage European-style. 👀👀Wandering and taking photos in the city centre during the day is incredibly pleasant and relaxing—and it’s easy to get great shots here. West Albury Westland❣️ This spot truly shines at dusk. Golden sunlight shimmers on the water, and dense trees line the empty streets—perfect for capturing stunning photos.🐲🐲 Recommended Eats Albury’s food scene exceeded all my expectations. Here are two must-try spots:🚕 🏠🏠- Aida Albury (AUD 60 per person) The seafood dish with pineapple features incredibly delicious scallops. We also ordered a quarter chicken with flatbread—the garlic sauce that comes with the bread is amazing (nearly every table orders it)! Their fries are also a signature here. Opening hours: Until 9 PM⛅⛅ ​ - Oppy‘s Pasta (AUD 30 per person) – Highly Recommended! 🙊🙊Hands down the best pasta I’ve had in Australia. The creamy bacon pasta (with wide noodles) is a standout—the cream is rich but not greasy, coating the noodles perfectly, and the pasta has a nice chew.🌸 Every bite is a pleasant surprise! My friend even wanted a second serving, saying we might never find anything like it again.🏵️ The beef🥩🥩 and tomato pasta is tangy, and the meatballs are absolutely delicious.
