🇺🇸 Charleston, SC Travel Tips 🍍
After attending a graduation ceremony in Atlanta this month, I took a road trip to Savannah and Charleston – and I was truly charmed by Charleston! Here are some recommended spots and restaurants from my trip: 🌿 Boone Hall Plantation & Garden Of the three famous oak plantations in Charleston, we chose Boone Hall – and it did not disappoint! The majestic oak avenue and beautiful grounds made for a perfect day. The ticket includes several guided tours, and we took our time enjoying each one. Fun fact: It’s a super popular wedding venue – bookings are said to be needed at least two years in advance. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds also got married here! 💒 🏙️ Downtown City Walk Stroll through Rainbow Row with its colorful historic houses, explore cozy side streets, shop along King Street, and browse handmade souvenirs at Charleston City Market. We also visited the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon – the guided tour was informative and great for U.S. history lovers. Tired from walking? Relax under the oak trees in one of the lovely waterfront parks – so peaceful! 🌳 🏖️ Folly Beach Don’t miss this beach on a sunny day! I didn’t have high expectations initially, but it turned out to be a lovely surprise. Lots of vacation Airbnbs here – but parking can be tricky if you’re not staying nearby. 🍽️ Food Picks Aside from the popular Hyman’s Seafood, I’d highly recommend Hannibal’s – a soul food gem! The place may look unassuming from the outside, but it’s been visited by many celebrities. Their crab rice and fried chicken gizzards were absolutely delicious and totally satisfied my Chinese taste buds! An unexpectedly tasty and affordable find 🦀🍚 #Charleston #SouthCarolina #TravelTips #BooneHallPlantation #FollyBeach #SoulFood #USATravel #HistoricCharleston #SouthernCharm
