🇺🇸 Chicago 3-Day 2-Night Solo Travel Guide (Leisurely Edition!)

✨ Pre-Trip Prep 1️⃣ Accommodation: Booked Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile—perfect location! 🏙️ Steps from shopping, attractions, and the river. Cozy rooms, comfy beds, and great service. Snagged a deal for just $100+ via 2️⃣ CityPASS: Compared the standard vs. C3 (Pick 3) version—went with C3 ($110), which lets you skip lines + cancel easily. Totally worth it! 💳 3️⃣ Fireworks Tour: Summer Wednesday fireworks on Lake Michigan (around 9 PM) are magical! 🎆 Booked a $50 cruise (same company as CityPASS for convenience). Pro tip: Kayak tours are also a fun alternative! 🚇 Day 1: Iconic Landmarks & River Vibes Blue Line from O’Hare → Hotel (used Ventra 3-day pass, $15). Millennium Park: The Bean (Cloud Gate) is a must for photos! 🌟 Also loved the Crown Fountain & Pritzker Pavilion. Magnificent Mile: Window-shopped (didn’t buy much, but the vibe was 👌). World’s Largest Starbucks: Tried a $11 seasonal drink (weirdly textured but fun!) + free dessert samples! 🍰 Chicago Riverwalk: Mocktails by the water + accidentally witnessed a proposal—so sweet! 💍 CP Architecture Tour (7:30 PM): Boarded at 401 N. Michigan Ave (arrive 30 mins early). Skyline views at sunset = breathtaking! 🌉 🎨 Day 2: Art, Hot Pot & Jazz Art Institute (CityPASS): Frida Kahlo exhibit!!! 🎨 Spent hours with Monet, Van Gogh, and the Impressionists. Heaven for art lovers. Qiao Lin Hot Pot ($66): Silky chicken broth + chewy fish maw—authentic and soul-warming! 🍲 Andy’s Jazz Club ($20): Live music, chill vibes. Swayed to the sax all night. 🎷 Navy Pier Fireworks Cruise (8:30 PM): Sat on the right side for the best views! ✨ 🦖 Day 3: Slow Morning & Fly Out Slept in ☁️ → Took transit back to the airport. Bye, Chicago—you were amazing! ✈️ #ChicagoTravel #SoloTrip #ArtLover #FoodieFinds #FireworksMagic
