Day 1 βοΈ Took the Blue Line from the airport ($5) β arrived during rush hour π, took about 45 mins. π¨ Checked in, then wandered around nearby. π Lunch: Chicago Curry House β $17 Indian buffet (after tax/tip ~$20). Super tasty and friendly owner! π πΌοΈ Spent the afternoon at The Art Institute of Chicago β extra $10 for special exhibit. Huge and totally worth it! Day 2 π₯ͺ Late start β brunch at Seedo's Levantine Bakery (egg sandwich π) π Visited University of Chicago π½οΈ Lunch at Valois Restaurant β cash only, big portions, great value! πΆββοΈ Afternoon city walk β π’ 7:30 PM architecture river cruise β perfect timing for cooler weather and city lights! π Day 3 πΆββοΈ Walked around downtown β β Tried Starbucks Reserve Roastery but line was too long π π Lunch: Dave's Hot Chicken β tried "Hot" level πΆοΈ, spicy but manageable! π Then headed to Mr. Beef β got beef & sausage sandwiches π°(cash only). So good! β Spent late afternoon at Navy Pier β not super exciting but nice if you like boats and lake views. Day 4 π΄ Slept in β wanted Mr. Beef again but closed on weekends π’ π Instead: returned to Chicago Curry House β weekend price ~$20 pp ποΈ Did some last-minute museum relaxing, riverwalk strolling, and shopping β¨ Surprise: Starbucks Reserve & Harry Potter store had no lines! π§ββοΈ π¬ Flew back home that evening.
