If you’re in Monterey and haven’t tried this place yet… I’ll be mad 😤 With so many food options around, how has nobody recommended this gem? We ordered: 🍣 Salmon Sashimi 🦐 Shrimp Tempura Udon 🐙 Fried Calamari 🍚 Fish Roe Rice Bowl (A MUST-TRY!) 🥩 Sukiyaki Steak (for kids) All for just over $100 — and every dish was delicious! Great service, too 🥰 Plus, the restaurant has fun taiko drum music playing in the background — such a happy vibe 🥁🎶 That Fish Roe Rice Bowl was absolutely mind-blowing!! If you skip it, I’ll be so disappointed 😍 Not fishy at all — served sizzling hot in a stone pot with sauce poured over it, creating an amazing crispy bottom. It’s loaded with different kinds of fish roe (some I’d never even seen before — including a green one!). Mix it all together and each bite crackles and pops in your mouth like tiny fireworks 🎇💥 So fun, so flavorful — a whole new experience that’s happy-making and deeply satisfying! 🦦 And guess what? Behind the restaurant is a sea otter “hangout”! If you get a window seat at the back, you can watch them.
