🇺🇸 Monterey, California|Sea Lions & Seals Are Ashore!

Unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable! I was just centimeters away from sleeping sea lions and seals!!! 🦭💤 Because they were on land behind a wire fence, it was actually safe to get super close. I crouched down and was almost close enough to touch their little flippers! 😮 I’ve seen many bloggers talk about Fisherman’s Wharf with just a few scattered here and there — in the water, on the shore. I’ve also gotten pretty close to them in San Diego! BUT!! This many?? In huge dark crowds?? And this up close??? I was truly amazed!! The scene was impressive — though a bit smelly, honestly… 😅💨 Let me share the location — it might be different from what other bloggers mentioned. Maybe it’s seasonal, or they’ve moved. Here’s how I got there: 🌟 I first navigated to “Seals & sea lions” on Google Maps. Then, as shown in the last image I circled 🗺️, there’s parking nearby. Walk along the shore to the right — follow the smell and the sound, and you’ll find them! The parking lot uses a self-service machine — it’s cheap, just a few dollars 💵. The minimum is around 40 minutes? Enter your license plate number and pay. It’s really fun — highly recommend if you’re in Monterey! So cool 😎👏! #Monterey #USA #USARoadTrip #TravelUSA #MontereySeals #MontereyBay #CaliforniaTravel
