โจ Day 1 โจ ๐ Cannery Row Antique Mall A two-floor antique market with dozens of vendors โ everything from furniture ๐ช and tableware to posters and trinkets. Prices are fair, and you can even haggle a bit! ๐๏ธ ๐ฝ๏ธ Old Fishermenโs Grotto The coastal path to the restaurant is lovely โ๏ธ๐ โ we even spotted sea lions! But the food was just okay. Loved the crab cake ๐ฆ, and the clam chowder was good (though a bit too cheesy). The ocean view from the window seat was definitely a plus! ๐ 17-Mile Drive Spanish Bay Beach was gorgeous ๐๏ธ, but the cloudy weather really dampened the views โ couldnโt see much from the hilltop lookouts ๐ข. Highly recommend going on a sunny day! โ๏ธ Also peeked at an Open House in the areaโฆ letโs just say itโs out of my budget ๐ธ๐ ๐ Portabella Cozy atmosphere and decent Italian food. Not mind-blowing, but a nice experience โ in these cute towns, vibe > flavor anyway! ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ท โจ Day 2 โจ โ Stationรฆry Matcha latte was great ๐ต, but the brunch was just average โ nothing special. ๐ Carmel-by-the-Sea A must-visit every time! Finally explored furniture stores and galleries in daylight ๐ผ๏ธ (they close early!). Everythingโs pricey โ window shopping only ๐๐ธ Found hidden alleys leading to a chocolate shop ๐ซ and even โsecretโ gallery back entrancesโฆ Felt like a real-life maze! ๐ Big Sur Roadwork caused a 30-min wait ๐ง, so we just admired Rocky Creek Bridge from afar. Personally prefer the ocean views over the bridge โ not sure what the hype is about ๐คทโโ๏ธ ๐ The Mystery Spot A fun spot with tilted rooms and weird angles โ like a real-life science museum illusion ๐งฒ๐คฏ. Cheap and quirky โ worth a quick stop! ๐ Capitola Beach Another favorite! Relaxed on the pier until sunset ๐๏ธ๐ . The town has cute surf-and-swimwear shops โ very laid-back vibes ๐โโ๏ธ ๐ Shadowbrook Enter from the top of the hill and take a cute cable car ๐ก or walk down steps to the restaurant. Feels like a mini estate nestled on the slopes โ so romantic!
