🇺🇸 What a "Chinese Stomach" Ate in Upstate New York~
🌿🌿In My First Month in the US, I Went Out of My Way to Find Chinese Restaurants 🍱 Kazan Sushi, Ramen & BBQ 1 Crossgates Mall Rd, Albany, NY 12203 Personally, I think their Japanese food is more authentic than Chinese cuisine here.🎋 The noodles and sushi are both delicious, and the portions are generous. We ordered three servings of sushi and a bowl of ramen, totaling around $55. 🍱 Sakimura Hibachi and Asian Fusion🍰 340 Kings Mall Ct, Kingston, NY 12401 It’s a fusion restaurant run by Chinese people, with a nice atmosphere. It mainly serves sushi and American Chinese food. 🍢🍡 When we were ordering, the owner directly said, “We don’t have authentic Chinese food—all of it is made for foreigners!” 😂😂 🍣We randomly ordered a dish based on his recommendation, and it was surprisingly good—it came with salad, shrimp, and really tasty fried rice. The average cost per person is around $25. 🥩 Mid Hudson Buffet🍉 1116 Ulster Avenue, 38 Massa Dr, Kingston, NY 12401 A very typical American Chinese buffet. Personally, I think the rice and stir-fried greens are the most “authentic” items here 🤣🤣. But it has the advantage of a wide variety of dishes and low prices! The average cost per person is about $11–$12 (I don’t remember the exact price). Also, their chocolate ice cream🍧🍧 is delicious, and the soup they serve tastes exactly like the $20+ per bowl soup I’ve had at other Chinese restaurants. 🥘 Shining Rainbow 209 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 This is the most authentic Chinese restaurant I’ve had in the US—it’s also popular on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book). 🏵️ They use real chili peppers instead of chili sauce, which is a big plus 👍. We ordered Sour Cabbage Fish, Boiled Spicy Pork Slices, soup, and some drinks, totaling around $120.🌷🌷 The rest are just some common, everyday Chinese restaurants. #Food #NewYorkFood #Life
