🇺🇸Chicago Kid-Friendly Spot 90｜Crayfishing at Waterfall Glen Forest

📍 Waterfall Glen Forest, Woodridge, IL 60517 📅 Visited on: June 14, 2025 We come here every year to catch crayfish with the kids — and this time was the BEST! Not only was it super fun, but we also caught more than ever. The crayfish were easy to spot and grab right near the rocks. 🅿️ Free parking — spacious and clean 💧 Water was shallow and clear after recent rains — perfect for spotting crayfish! 🌊 Some people were even swimming near the waterfall ⚠️ Saw snakes (both large and small) upstream and downstream — not sure if venomous, but we stayed on the rocks just in case. No need to enter the water! 🎣 Bring a bucket, small net, and wear water shoes — that’s all you need!
