8-Day Alaska Cruise from Vancouver
πβ¨ Verdict: This trip was absolutely breathtaking! π― If you have an Amex Platinum card, start planning for next year β booking through Amex offers great value! Too long to wait? Go this year! π₯ Check out my photos from six years ago (winter in Alaska ) β also stunning! βοΈ Back then I saw the northern lights, soaked in hot springs β¨οΈ, and even visited the Arctic Circle sign (though that part was exhausting π΅). πΈ Summer vs. Winter in Alaska: Winter = romantic snowscapes βοΈ Summer = raw, powerful nature π The highlight? Day 4 β watching glaciers calve from the ship . Unforgettable! Friends also tried helicopter tours π, bear watching π», and whale watching π³ β all highly recommended! π³οΈ Cruise: Celebrity Cruises Route: Vancouver β Icy Strait Point β Juneau β Ketchikan Food on board was solid β different themed chef specials daily. Main dining even served lobster on the second last night! π¦ Shows were fun, but the best part was relaxing with friends β we played cards π and mahjong ποΈ (too busy having fun to take food pics π). π Icy Strait Point:A small island with two gondolas: Green β Free β goes to dining areaRed π° $50+ β takes you up the mountain We took the red one β short and sweet hike with great views! π Juneau: Friends did a helicopter + whale watching tour β totally worth it! Budget option: $2 public bus to Mendenhall Park (30-min ride + 30-min scenic walk ) πΏ π Ketchikan: Walked to Creek Street β saw tons of salmon π and seals swimming freely! Note: Some dead salmonβ¦ a bit smelly π This town rains a lot β moody but atmospheric π§οΈ Whether you go in summer or winter, Alaska will wow you. Already dreaming of my next trip! π§³β€οΈ #US #Alaska #Creek Street #Ketchikan
