A Silent, Striking Sanctuary

"Brutal, Solemn, Dramatic, Hopeful" The design of this modern church serves as a Noah's Ark "suspended" between humanity’s fear and hope, dissecting it in a society filled with chaos. It builds, bears, embarks, endures...and where does it land? Each of us has our own destination, perhaps clear, perhaps blurry, perhaps dark, perhaps bright. The "🐉 skeletal" concrete structure feels real and raw. Symmetrical layers pierce through stained glass paintings, casting blurry shadows of trees, with whispers of wind in the background. Outside the "ark," waves seem to rise and fall; the "bones" themselves have grown into the shape of waves. And we are like divers on this ship, floating through whirlpools of light and shadow, grasping at fleeting moments of the unknown and of hope—a retreat into a tranquil harbor. The seconds tick by on our phones, a reminder that reality is knocking. As we leave, sunlight streams in, casting vibrant colors from stained glass onto our darkened figures. We take pictures, capturing each other bathed in light, and exchange a knowing smile. "Life is a journey; go and see the sun.
