Calgary's No-Filter Restaurant Roundup Vol.2! 📸🍽️
📍 Google Map screenshots of each restaurant follow the food pics - match them yourself! Prices are per person average (including tip, based on my experience). 1️⃣ Cheongdam Kitchen & Bar - Mahogany 🔥 Signature dish: Grilled Wagyu! Premium quality beef with perfect texture (see pic), though portion might be small for big eaters. We added Korean pork bone soup which was hearty and satisfying. 👍 Pros: Excellent beef quality 👎 Cons: Far from NW/SW, may not be worth special trip 💵 Price: Forgot (but the beef was worth it!) 2️⃣ Tobe Teppanyaki Lounge 🍳 Entertaining Japanese teppanyaki show! Our chef sang, joked, and flamed everything spectacularly. The weekend lunch set ($100pp) included: Lobster tail Scallops Wagyu Mushrooms/veggies Beef fried rice Ice cream (sadly no matcha flavor) Skip the extra appetizer platter - portions are huge! 🎤 Verdict: Fun experience with full belly! 3️⃣ Master Beef Hot Pot near Chinook 🍲 Legendary Taiwanese hot pot! Their satay broth blew my mind - possibly the best I've ever had (including in Asia)! Super attentive service (owner?) taught us proper beef swishing techniques. 💰 $50pp = insane value ❤️ Must-try: SATAY BROTH! 4️⃣ Pho Mr.Q Vietnamese Restaurant (NW) 🍜 My go-to for pho! Their "Beef Rib Noodle" remains perfect, and the chicken wings outshine many wing specialists - huge, juicy, crispy perfection! 💵 $25pp = steal! 5️⃣ The Food Chemist (New Indian Wing Spot) 🍗 Tiny shop (4 tables) with MASSIVE flavors! Let the friendly Indian staff recommend from their dizzying wing menu. Our 2lb wing combo (2 flavors) + fries + mac'n'cheese (uneaten, too full!) was only $24pp. 🔥 Pro tip: Come hungry! 6️⃣ Chuan Yue Shi Guang 🍢 Skewers were decent but a tad salty. Price varies. ➕ Bonus: HIGHLY recommend Korean snacks at T&T! Just try them! #YYCFood #CalgaryEats #NoFilterFoodie
