Chicago’s Classic Brunch Spot — Ann Sathers 🍽️🇸🇪
When it comes to iconic Chicago brunch, many think of Wildberry or Yolk — but Ann Sathers has been around much longer. Founded in 1945, it specializes in Swedish breakfast, famously known for its cinnamon rolls. Original owner Ann retired in 1981, selling the restaurant to a 24-year-old who trained under her in baking and management. My very first meal out in Chicago was at Ann Sathers. Back then, lines were always out the door — and when I returned last week, nothing had changed. 🧁 Famous Cinnamon Rolls – Come as a side with breakfast entrees (two per order). Other side options: muffin, biscuits, applesauce, sliced tomato, toast + jam, hash browns, fruit cup, or cottage cheese. 🧁 Swedish Sampler Platter – Includes a Swedish pancake (softer, eggier than American), Swedish meatballs (IKEA vibes), Swedish potato sausage (beef + potato — eat with mustard), and an egg any style. 🥐 Bakery Counter – Plenty of fresh baked goods to grab and go. Portions are huge — most people leave with leftovers. And all this for just $15.45?! No wonder Ann Sathers has remained a Chicago staple for generations. 📍 Ann Sathers (multiple locations) I visited: 909 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60657 #AnnSathers #ChicagoBrunch #SwedishBreakfast #CinnamonRolls #ClassicChicago
