Chicago|Finally Drank the Ultra-Light Soymilk from My Childhood! 🥛
Today I tried the soymilk at this Chinese restaurant — and it instantly took me back to the breakfast shops of my childhood (in Wenzhou). It's that super light, nostalgic soymilk I’ve been missing for years — almost identical in taste! Both sweetened and unsweetened versions hit the spot… I could cry from happiness 😭❤️ 📍 Potsticker House 3139 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60608 Other dishes we tried: 🍖 Cumin Lamb Spine – Warm, fragrant, and full of flavor. 🥬 Sour Cabbage with Pork – Usually not a fan of this Northern dish, but theirs was so refreshing! I had several bites and even drank two bowls of the soup. 🍖 Guo Bao You (Sweet & Sour Pork) – Pretty good, though I prefer a thicker, chewier texture. 🫓 Scallion Pancake – Freshly made, crispy outside, soft inside — truly tree tree ) 😋 Came for the food, but now this is my go-to spot for soymilk 🥛💯 It’s located south of Chinatown — a bit out of the way, but you can also order delivery via Fantuan 🛵. #SoymilkLove #ChildhoodFlavors #ChineseFood #ChicagoEats #NostalgicEats #ComfortFood
