The Blossom Cafe 📍 8349 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706 Before coming to the U.S., my impression of American portions was always “huge” — but in North Carolina, I never really experienced that. Everything felt pretty normal 😂. Then I came to Chicago — and finally understood what “American-sized” really means. 🥞 Pancakes — absolutely MASSIVE. One pancake here felt like two in NC. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, definitely order this. Drench it in syrup, one bite = instant happiness. 🥩 Their meats were solid too — nicely cooked, salt level was just right for me. 🍲 Chowder — decent, but nothing special. Hard to compare to the ones I had in NYC — the ingredients here felt a bit more… vague? ☕️ Sweet tooth friends: HOT COCOA is a MUST. It’s my go-to at every brunch. Add cream on top, take a big warm sip — absolute perfection. We couldn’t finish everything — took my leftover pancakes back to North Carolina to enjoy later 😋. What are you waiting for?
