I will preference this by saying that I rarely take the time to go online and write reviews, but this is the absolute WORST costumer service I've ever come into contact with. My friend and I bought tickets online for the Meadery Tour for last Saturday. The tickets were expensive ($40) but we did it anyways. Unfortunately, something came up last minute on Saturday and we needed to cancel... We called up to tell them that we wouldn't be able to make it and asked for a refund on our tickets. Here's the timeline of how this process has gone for us so far.

Saturday: We called the place as soon as our plans changed. The woman on the phone had no idea what we were talking about and said that she couldn't help. She told us to call Aiden and gives us his phone number. We call Aiden and find out that he also has no idea what we were talking about. He said he couldn't help, and that I needed to speak to Koz. He assured me that Koz would be in on Monday. Monday: I call the place THREE TIMES (spaced out) before someone picks up the phone. When they finally answered, the woman on the phone had no idea what we were talking about and said that she couldn't help. She said that I needed to speak to Koz, but that Koz wouldn't be in at all that day. She assured me he would be in from 12:00 - 5:00 on Tuesday. Tuesday: I call roughly around 12:45 only to find out that Koz was not there. The man on the phone also had no idea what we were talking about and said that he couldn't help. He also said that Koz would be in later, but that he would not be able to help us either. He asked me to call again tomorrow to talk to the owner (who apparently has not been in at all this week).

So as of right now, I'm down $40 and a lot of wasted time calling this place over and over again. I was originally planning on using my refund to buy a few bottles of their mead (since I did not have a chance to try it yet) but that will not be happening now. Here's hoping I can eventually talk to someone who has a clue of what's going on at this place, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get...

I hosted a private event here. Initially I came because when I searched “Black Owned Winery in Chicago” this was the first place that popped up. Come to find out they weren’t. I supported anyway because they were local and the owner over the phone was extremely nice. When I arrived Thursday to follow up on details for the event no one greeted me at the front. I saw someone come from the back who I didn’t know worked their until she told the delivery guy who came in behind me to sit the boxes in the corner. After 3 mins of waiting I decided to show myself to the bathroom and when I came out the host was there to greet me. She changed my first impression very fast. Answered my questions and showed me around. Finally I was able to meet the lady who was over events, whom I’d had never been in conversation throughout the weeks leading up to the event. So the owner told me one thing and she said another which caused confusion and in the end resulted in me having to pay more than what I was supposed to. When it came down to the event Saturday it was great except yet again miscommunication. Someone had informed my guest that they wouldn’t be getting the flights because their was a shortage on glasses. (Mind you I hadn’t arrived yet and I purchased flights ahead of time for guest who paid.) My guest also where not happy with how they were spoken to by the waiter. Lastly the host that was extremely helpful throughout the beginning of the event was fired, but of course we were told she quit in the middle of a event. Overall, I really liked the place and it’s environment, it’s local and they have some great drinks. I wouldn’t host another event there, but I would go individually because I liked the...

I went to this establishment on 10/05/2024, it was not the best experience. I did write a review on their site and see they posted other's reviews and not mine. I believe its because I gave one star and a detail description of our experience. Their website says they open at 12pm on Saturday's, we got there a few minutes after 12pm. We were greeted, the gentlemen that greeted us did not tell us they were not open to the public or that there is an event at 2pm and services will be limited. There was no sign on the door or anything posted on their website. They told us we can sit anywhere, we chose to sit outside. A different gentleman can outside to greet us and bring us water and menus. We waited about 20 minutes for our waiter to come over to greet us. We are the only guests in this place currently. On the site it says you can have outside food but there is no food in house. On their menu there is food. We tried to place an order but the chef was unavailable and will not be available until 2pm for their event. We asked can we have food delivered and was denied. One of my guests asked can we speak to the owner, we was told the owner is out of town. She asked to speak to who is in charge because their site says one thing, their menu says another. He comes back and says he called the owner and we cannot have any outside food in the establishment. One of my guests asked why no one put on their website they will be closed for an event, he responded they put it on Facebook. This was the worse experience I have ever experienced at a winery. I will not go back and do not recommend, especially since they only post positive reviews on...

This place was amazing! Tucked away you would think it’s a community center from the outside. My babe and I caught them on my birthday when they had a movie night, and no other patrons. It was great! Great, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable staff! Even met the owner... great guy! Beautiful and unique wines! Great price for the tasting which is $15 but Teachers, first responders, CTA workers and other city or municipal workers gets a $5 discount! Very clean facility! Bathroom was clean. I truly appreciate that. I cannot wait to go back for the tour and to do a wine and or beer making class! Oh and they have a great subscription program! Even buying one bottle of wine is unique in the aspect you buy the first bottle at a certain price and when you return eight the same bottle the contents are then purchased at a reduced price. Give them a try! Call before you go to make sure it’s open to the public and not closed for private event. I did not see a parking lot. So maybe inquire about that also.

I love this place. It’s a hidden gem in my community. If you know you know. It’s plenty of space to chill and sip wine or catch up with friends . They also have bingo on certain nights for $10. They serve food but the pizza is probably the best option. The wings tasted like they were unthawed & warmed up in the Microwave. I personally didn’t enjoy. The wine is great and house made and they have a full bar. For anyone who enjoys alcohol. The Ambience is amazing. The staff is very accommodating. 10 out of 10 minus the wings not being to my crispy liking. Go experience for yourself you won’t be disappointed. Sincerely, Your girl Sunshine From Let’s Do It Crew Tours

Visiting from Michigan, my cousin took me to this winery that raise bees and use honey to make their wine. Driving up to the building, you wouldn't guess that the look inside is fabulous!!! It's small but rich in decor, wine choices and customer service. Go there to relax after work, group getaway or date night. My cousin goes there every Tuesday. I visit Chicago a lot and will be returning. Oh, I already have my wines to order and they have outdoor sitting for the warmer months. Pictured is the 4 drink Flight, not sampler.
