Chicago | Matcha Dessert Spot šµ Visited at Least Five Times
As someone who doesn't particularly love matcha, the fact that I've visited this matcha ice cream shop at least five times says a lot! I think the matcha flavor isn't particularly strong, which is why I can accept it. The desserts here tend to be on the sweeter side. Today's Menu šš²š³ š Matcha Double-Flavored Ice Cream Bucket Layers upon layers of ice cream, the whole thing is bigger than my palm, and the portion is so generous that it feels like it would take at least two people to finish it. At the very top, there's ice cream, followed by a layer of matcha cake crust, then red beans and some crispy, fragrant fried items (or something like what you'd find in an oat bowl). At the bottom, there's more matcha ice cream. The photo doesn't show it, but there are also two little round mochi balls. The best texture is the part closest to the cake and red beans! š Matcha Swiss Roll The outside of the Swiss roll is a matcha-flavored cake crust, and the matcha flavor is more intense than that of the ice cream. It's a rich and bitter matcha flavor. The middle part has a cream cheese-like texture, which is cool and refreshing, and it blends well with the bitterness of the outer layer. #Chicago #MatchaLover #ChicagoDesserts #ChicagoExploration #ChicagoFood #InternationalStudents #ChicagoLife
