Chicago 🍛 | Fully Booked Croatian Restaurant — Rosemary
I’ve debated whether to share reviews of places I didn’t love… but here it is, maybe as a friendly heads-up 😅 We booked a month ahead and could only get a 9 PM Sunday slot — and even then, the place was packed and buzzing 🍽️🔥. The food consistency seemed off — half the dishes were way too salty, the other half tasted bland. Let’s break it down: ✅ Zucchini Fritters — The best of the night! Thinly sliced zucchini coated in batter and fried till fragrant — honestly tasted almost meaty 🥒✨. ➖ Pork Rib — Braised till tender, but the sauce was like diluted sweet & sour. Just… okay. ❌ Radiatore Pasta — So salty we could barely finish it. ❌ Lamb Shoulder — Steamed until soft, but completely lacking flavor. ❌ Madarica (Dessert) — Felt like a mousse cake with too much gelatin… not our thing. We went in with high hopes — my friend visiting from NYC specifically requested this spot — but left pretty disappointed 🥲.
