Chicago Bar Recommendation 3 | An Old-Money Winter Choice 🍸

This winter, I'm really surviving on drinks 🥂, so from now until Christmas, I plan to explore all the great bars in Chicago like crazy! Today’s stop is Bernard’s, a cozy little bar on the second floor of the Waldorf Astoria. The space isn’t huge, but it's easy to book, and with the winter + Christmas decorations, the atmosphere is absolutely magical! ✨🎄 Today’s Menu 🍜🥘🥗 📌 Fried Cheese Curds – Each piece is delightfully puffy and crispy. A nice drinking snack — not too greasy, though the portion is a bit small. 📌 Juicy Fruit – Served with a smoky bubble (so theatrical! 💨). Strong rum notes with a fruity base — perfect for those who love fruit-forward cocktails! 🍍🍹 📌 2 AM – Topped with coconut-flavored cream and a refreshing fruity base underneath. Mix it together and it almost tastes like a boozy milk tea — maybe thanks to the green tea in it! 🥥🍵 Great for creamy cocktail lovers. 📌 No.5 – The server sprays the drink with a scent that smells exactly like Chanel No.5 perfume! 💐🌸 The floral and fruity notes burst through, and the drink itself is light, sweet, and super smooth — tastes like a nostalgic fruity beverage (but I can’t quite put my finger on which one!). 📌 The Bernard – A rich, bold whiskey-forward cocktail with a slight kick but a long, smooth finish. Feels higher in alcohol — maybe save this one for last if you’re not a heavy drinker! 🥃🔥 Important Details ☎️📞💡 📍 Name: Bernard’s 📍 Address: 11 E Walton St 2nd Floor, Chicago, IL 60611 📍 Average Price: Around $80 per person (for about 2 drinks) 💸 So why “old-money style”? 👑 The place is filled with elegantly dressed older gentlemen and ladies, the ambiance is quietly luxurious, and while it’s on the pricier side, you can tell they use quality spirits. The cocktail menu is truly unique — many flavors you won’t find anywhere else! Winter drinking continues! Where should I go next? 🍷🎄 #ChicagoFood #ChicagoEats #ChicagoBar #CocktailLover #WinterDrinks #LuxuryBar
