Chicago Drink Spots: Ramen-San, Revolver, The Up Room

🌟Ramen-San Japanese Old Fashioned Honestly, as a lover of sweet drinks, I really don’t enjoy old-fashioneds. They’re already based on whiskey and mixed with various bitters, and this one even includes hojicha. It was way too bitter. I guess I just can’t give up on trying old-fashioneds again and again. 🌟Revolver Lemonheads Before I comment on the drink itself, I have to say that the best thing about this place is the affordable price! At $15 a glass, it’s a rare find in Chicago. The downside is that it’s incredibly noisy—unbelievably so. Also, be careful with the tips. They automatically charge a 20% service fee without telling you. And if you make a reservation, there’s a $5 deposit per person that’s non-refundable if you change your plans. Be very cautious about that. 🌟As for the drink, it’s quite good. It’s not overly sour, and the rim of the glass is coated with sugar to cut the acidity. Pairing it with the salty popcorn from the bar is a great combination. Revolver Revolver 🌟This is the bar’s namesake drink. I drank it pretty quickly, but the coffee flavor did a great job of balancing out the alcohol. It was really nice. The Up Room Honey Heights 🌟This bar is fantastic. There aren’t many rooftop bars in Chicago, and this is the only one where you can see the city’s night skyline without glass barriers. Unfortunately, it was raining today, and I was just out with my buddy for a drink. #ChicagoLifeShare #InternationalStudentInChicago #ChicagoLife
